You got that right. North Florida in January is usually pretty frigid by our standards and this month is proving to be so. It’s been in the 20s and very windy. We stood outside for soccer games on Saturday when the wind chill was 22 and there was no sun. Those were some cold hours, let me tell you! We had a late lunch and then I pretty much camped out on the couch. When it’s cold, all I want to do is sit under warm fleece blankets. The problem then is that I feel sluggish and lazy. I don’t even really remember the rest of that evening. I think Ash watched a movie and I slept!
Sunday was better in terms of getting stuff done. I cleaned and did laundry then ran six miles, which was not bad in the weather. Once you get moving and get over the feeling of being numb, you’re good to go. I was happy to have that run done though I have to go nine miles next week. It’s supposed to be considerably warmer though. We mostly just watched football and napped and I watched Sherlock in the evening. THAT was a painful episode! That show might be the death of me some day.
Anyway, let’s do freebie week and move on.
I’m feeling sort of blah about music lately but here are a few songs that give me life when I am running, particularly on steep hills.
Metallica: the first line is “I don’t know how to live through this hell.” SO good for running.
and this, the Bobby Roode theme song. He’s an NxT wrestler and has an excellent theme!
