–QUESTIONS–
Answer these as best you can; feel free to explain why
1.) Would you rather… go out to eat or make a nice meal at home?
2.) Would you rather… drive or fly?
3.) Would you rather… go to a sporting event or watch it on TV?
4.) Would you rather… read a book or watch TV?
5.) Would you rather… go to bed early or sleep in late?
—ANSWERS–
1.) If it would be without kids, I would rather go out to eat. I sometimes get the itch to try a new recipe and then I like to cook at home but I always end up dirtying so many dishes, etc that I would rather just have someone serve me.
2.) Hmm, driving is long and annoying but the hassle of getting to the airport, security, other people, etc can really detract from flying. When Ash and I have taken longer vacations without kids, we’ve flown but we drove with them to Chicago and that was also just fine. Cost is also a factor. I will say driving as my answer, because the pros outweigh the cons.
3.) This is a tough one. For most sports, I would rather watch on TV. Football, for example, is a good one for TV. NASCAR, on the other hand, is way more fun in person. And then some, I wouldn’t watch one way or another! (Golf; ugh.)
4.) Eh, some days I cannot stand the noise/drone of TV. I go through phases where I love the books I am reading and it’s all I want to do. Then other days, television is so relaxing. I don’t have a lot of shows I HAVE to watch so I just flip around until something interesting pops up.
5.) Oh any day, rather go to bed early. Sleeping in makes me feel guilty. And if I do “sleep in”, it’s around 7 or 7:15 at the latest because we got lucky and the kids were tired.
Yep, getting to sleep until 7:30 is sleeping in.
I love a good road trip–but I like having time to enjoy the road trip.
Oh, so totally agree on cooking at home – it sounds like fun until you have to clean up the mess… I hate dishes. And sleeping in makes me feel guilty too, totally relate to that!!
7am is sleeping in? that sounds horrible to me! 😉
I’m so glad I no long have kids who get up early 🙂 7 am is so not sleeping in. But I do rememer when it was and how much I liked it then.
