Friday five – I tried to get here, I really did

  1. I wrote my Wednesday post and just never… posted. I have been so busy with all the back to work/school stuff I just could not manage to blog. But that’s ok; sometimes you have to do the most important stuff.
  2. We were both productive and lazy this week; we watched some movies, ate pretty good, and did a few house things. But with the impending school year and a very busy weekend, I think we laid low for the most part. We did football related things: watched the first episode of Hard Knocks and also, the first preseason game. Yay football!
  3. Later today, I am leaving early and taking my daughter to her sports physical. Then we get to pack up our beer fest stuff and take it to the civic center to set up. THEN Ash and I are running the beer mile (Chug, 1/4 mile, chug, 1/4 repeat…) After THAT, we do the brewer VIP party. It’s always a long evening but we manage.
  4. Then Saturday we need to leave outta the house by about 10 then make sure the club tent is all ready. Brewer’s hour is 12-1 then the fest is 1-6. It’s way too long, if we are being honest. But we usually have a good time anyway. My plan for Sunday is to do…not much. I’ll be recovering from all the Friday/Saturday activity!
  5. My sciatic nerve is acting up again, which is not great for my run today. I really need to accept that at my age, daily stretching is a necessity. I need to find a way to build it into my life but I always forget! Anyway, I need to plan out some things and grade some online stuff. Have a good weekend!

  1. I just took my final for Summer Mini Semester B. This professor used a new online textbook through Cognella. It was THE WORST! There were so many glitches that she ended up giving everyone in the class some extra credit. I actually felt sorry for her. She has to grade three things – a paper, a presentation, and the final. I have a strong A right now, but depending on those scores . . .not sure what the final grade will be.

Do you have an inversion table? When my back and sciatic flare up, hanging upside down twice a day really helps me. Mark has the same issue and it helps him, too.

Your beer fest sounds like fun! With people running and chugging . . .do people throw up? That part would not be fun for me – I freak out when someone throws up.

    1. Yeah sometimes those online books are trash and just more of a hassles. I DO have an inversion table but it isn’t currently set up; maybe I need to get it out. And yes, people do puke. In fact, there’s actually an award for the most dramatic upchuck! it is my goal not to do that. Last year I had to spit some mucus out and accidentally looked into a trashcan and seeing the throw up did send me a little. But I managed to keep it down.
