1. What was the last thing you celebrated?
I guess it was our friend’s baby shower but then, before that, it was our other friend’s 50th birthday. And this coming weekend, my daughter will have her 13th birthday party. We will allow her to pick her birthday meal the next day but her actual b-day is Monday.
2 July 29th is International Day of the Tiger. Besides the wild animal itself, when you hear the word tiger what’s the first person-place-thing-whatever that comes to mind?
For some reason, I thought of the way dads might say “Good job, Tiger” to their kid.
3. The expression ‘eye of the tiger’ describes someone with intense focus, determination, and the drive to succeed. What area of your life are you currently bringing that kind of energy to?
I don’t think I have that in any area! I mean, ok, Tuesday I did have a lot of determination to get stuff done – and I did – but today has been less so.
4. What was the last meal you cooked?
I guess it was on Sunday when I made the chicken and mashed potatoes and green beans. It’s a pretty labor-intensive meal. I do not have a picture, sadly.
5. Describe your July using exactly five words.
Celebrations | Get-togethers | Swimming | Preparing
6. Insert your own random thought here.
To answer Joyce’s first question for #6 – I am still eating lettuce but I am washing it. I am not even going to worry about the eggs. Let me adjust my tinfoil hat and tell you that (I don’t believe any of it). “Oh, don’t eat the healthy foods!” It’s like when you’re driving to the farmer’s market to get your raw milk and you pass seven fast food restaurants and six vape shops but the government “cares” about your health. Nah brah.
Ahem, sorry if that opinion makes you unfollow me. I have just had it with panic hysteria. Just you wait until ALL the Fauci info comes out; you’ll see.
OK, anyway, today has been busy. I took Dakota to camp then my car for a new radiator. Sad part is that the shop I was recommended – a friend’s brother-in-law – is on the far far North side of town. And I had planned to have Isaac meet me after I dropped off so I could then take some stuff into my classroom, which is on the far South end of town. It was only about 35 minutes but still. We got there and it was nice to see my room all clean and the walls painted. BUT the stack of stuff I had left with a little note not to touch (which they said would be fine) seems to be missing. The front desk woman said they boxed it and moved it but I searched the entire building and didn’t find it. I did hear that parents helped move stuff around so here’s hoping it turns up. We left and went to the grocery store and then I made a big salad. By then it was only noon but I felt tired. I laid down on the couch for about 20 minutes but I am not feeling much more revived. Not sure what is going on with that but oh well. Sometimes it be like that.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Fauci has pled the 5th to avoid answering questions more than 100 times in congressional hearings. He says Senator Paul has an “unhinged obsession” with him. How about Senator Paul cares about justice? (Not that anything is likely to happen as these hearings tend to be all theater.) But by all means, deflect, deflect, deflect. Goodness. That’s terrible that someone moved a box of items you had that was labeled to not touch!! I hope you or someone at the school finds it.
