- Another one of those mornings where I woke up not knowing where I was. I wonder if that means I got good or bad sleep? It’s a bit early to tell. I got to work at 7:40 today and we have no committees so I can actually work until 4:40 and just go the heck home. Better appreciate it now because starting next Tuesday and for 60 days, that will so not be the case.
- I ran yesterday for the first time in a couple weeks and I forget how quickly your progress can recede. It wasn’t the worst run I’ve ever had but I was a little winded and since it was humid out, just sort of gross. But I finished two miles and I am glad I did.
- I have been doing this little project: finding posters (or prints) from tours I’ve actually attended. The first one was easy – Trinity of Terror – and then I found the 2017 Iron Maiden with Ghost one. I just picked up 2018 Welcome to Rockville too. I am planning to frame them and bring them to the office. But I’ve hit a wall. I can find Fleetwood Mac’s 2018 stuff but not 2019. I want each one to actually show the city in which I saw them. As another example, Alice Cooper came here in 2017 and I can’t find anything. Same with Def Leppard and Styx from 2016. And the Eagles from 2002. It’s frustrating but if I keep searching, I may find them.
- So one tenet of the genre metalcore is that the singers always make a sound affectionately called “blegh!” And fans love this so much that they go around to places like Target and Hobby Lobby and when they have letters of any sort, rearrange them into that word and say, “This Target has been Bleghssed.” I really want to do this at some point but in the meantime, I got a pop socket for my phone with that word on it. I know NO ONE will ever recognize the meaning but that’s ok. I like it.
- I won’t say much but the newest version of Windows SUCKS. Like, major suckage.
- Sometimes I get random image memories and today, I am thinking about this little park next to a train station near where I lived in Hollywood, Florida. When we found a box turtle in the backyard one time, I eventually had to get rid of it and we took it to this little park and let it go in the water.
- We are going to a brew fest in Tampa this weekend and it is stressing me out at the same time as I am excited. I like traveling to cities and doing different activities. I usually hate travel in general but I like being in a different place. That’s weird right?

A lot of people say they “love to travel”, but it’s technically not true. The travelling part can be sucky.

I used to love to travel, but not so much anymore. We’ve become home bodies. We’re happy so it’s all good.
Way to go on that run. I walk six days a week and strive for 10,000 steps a day. At 71 it’s a good goal. I’m doing it, but if I don’t I have the same experience that you had.
