Y’all, I ain’t ever gonna blog on a Sunday so you can just read this on Monday. Love ya!
As always, Bev does the Qs; I cobble together answers.
1. when did you last sing to yourself
In the car, though not this morning. Yesterday, Masterpiece by Motionless in White came on and I rocked that. I just love Chris so much.
2. if you’re male, would you ever rock black nail polish? if you’re female, would you ever rock really really short hair?
I used to have short hair and I abandoned it long ago. I didn’t like it. Can I answer the guy question too? I LOVE black nail polish. On me…and men. hee hee.
3. what is the greatest accomplishment of your life?
EASY: my children. I think – and they’re not done yet that we’ve done a good job getting them to a place where they’re good people.
4. what is the first happy memory that comes to mind, recent or otherwise?
The first one I thought of was going to Ohio last summer. I was in a bad place with my jobs dwindling and unable to find one solid one, and then my grandfather was ailing. So when we went and saw Ash’s childhood home and his friends and stuff and everything turned out so awesome, it was a great way to escape the other stuff.
5. if you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living?
I suppose I was do everything with a bit more purpose; definitely not sit around much.
6. do you have a bucket list? if so, what are the top three things?
I don’t really have an official one. I mean, I would like to visit Japan, go to more concerts, and open a diner some day. Those are just three things I think about.
7. how do you feel about tattoos and piercings?
I dig them. I have three tattoos; used to have a lot of ear piercings. I let those close up. I want another tattoo. I love men with tattoos. See: Spencer of Ice Nine Kills.
8. do you feel you had a happy childhood?
Oh for sure. I have really fond memories from my childhood and looking back, even the stuff that seemed hard or stressful or scary was all just learning.
9. when did you last cry in front of another person?
Wednesday? Ash and I met for lunch and though he parked out the JC Penney side, he walked me to the Dillards elevator and praised me for working so hard, getting this new job. I felt bad because it is taking up so much of my time but then again, it is just how it is. I started to tear up right there in the shoe department.
10. who in the world would you most like to receive a letter from and what would you want it to say?
Hmm, this is a tough one. Maybe my grandpa. He used to write me letters when I went to college and now that he’s gone, I think I appreciate them more. I would want him to tell me more about the hardships of his early life. His parents both died when he was in his teens.
11. what is your night time routine
I’ve spoken many times about how I kind of do the same general stuff all the time, mainly sit in my recliner and fall asleep. LOL. Not all the time, obviously, but most nights, once the kids are in bed (which is getting later and later as they age) I’ll sit in my chair and Ash sits on the couch and we sometimes watch shows or movies. Most nights I probably fall asleep. We usually go upstairs around 11, brush teeth, maybe a do a bit of reading, then go to sleep.
12. when was your last 3am conversation with someone, and who were they to you?
Obvs it was my husband; not sure we were up at 3 but we often talk well into the 1 am hour, mostly because f the aforementioned sleeping in the chair. LOL. Once we go up to bed I’ll be awake enough to have real conversations…and he’s a night owl.
13. if you were about to die, and you could only say one more sentence to one person, what would you say and to whom – omitting; too sad.
14. what is your opinion on brown eyes
They’re fine; I prefer hazel. Or blue, but like, Daniel Craig blue.
15. pick a quote and describe what it means to you personally
The first one that came to mind is “There is nothing permanent except change” and for me, it’s a good reminder because I am bad about accepting change.
16. what would you title the autobiography of your life so far?
Hmm, I used to have a joke with a friend that we could write one about being a middle-aged mom called “Drinking on a Tuesday” but I don’t know if I’d really name it that; it’s just kind of funny.
I like that name – Drinking on a Tuesday!!
I’m not crazy about tattoos, but that sure is a beautiful one you posted.
I’m a recliner sleeper too.
My wife usually is in bed by 10 pm, though she’s up now (10:45) because our daughter called from college. The only time I remember talking to her in the middle of the night, besides occasional insomnia on her part, was the bat in our bedroom.
Ooh, these are some good questions – and answers. I feel I should work through them, even if it doesn’t get posted to the blog 😊
I rather like tattoos and piercings too as long as they’re not gone overboard. Gonna share yours? I have one tattoo and two piercings per ear. I’ve sometimes “wanted” to buzz the hair, but doubt I would ever do it.
I enjoyed reading this.
I used to be very tired when the kids were to bed. But I usually was busy until ten or eleven,so didn’t fall asleep. Wish I would …often!
Enjoy your week!
