1.As we begin this brand new month tell us, on a scale of 1-10, where does your life fall in terms of being in ‘apple pie order’? Please elaborate. (1=nowhere near it, 10=practically perfect in every way)
Hmm, this is very interesting. I suppose that I could say 7? I mean, that’s safe. Nothing is ever perfect but in terms of my happiness, I think I’m sitting about there.
2. An apple a day keeps the doctor away…are you doing your part? Red or green? Sweet or tart? Ever played the game Apples to Apples? Do you like apple pie? If so, ala mode or just gimme the pie?
I’m not even really into apples. What I do like is this baked apple thing from Bruster’s ice cream. It has a kind of cinnamon pie crust around it, is baked, then topped with ice cream. Now THAT is tasty.
3. Tell us about a time recently where you ‘upset the apple cart’ or the last time someone ‘upset your apple cart’?
I’m not the person who’s going to upset anyone’s apple cart; can’t think of a time someone did it to me. Maybe today inadvertently when Isaac’s bus didn’t show up so I had to take him and I was late to my class by about 2-3 minutes and that really threw me off for my teaching.
4. What are three words that come to mind when you think of September?
Running, Football, Cooler
5. What are you most looking forward to this month?
Isaac’s meets and seeing Dakota improve at dance
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I’m a bit thin on answers here today and it’s just because I was really building up Tuesday to be difficult and while the rain canceled all of Isaac’s plans that would have made me drive all over town in the midst of doing and attending a fantasy football draft, I am still in a mode where I am stressed. This morning, his bus did not come so I had to drive him to school, which made me about 5 minutes late to my class, as mentioned above. Luckily, my students checked their email. But that hiccup made me frazzled and I felt like I was grasping at straws while I taught. Now, I am catching up on other work things and while I am motivated, I am also tired. Ash woke up at 5:30 this morning and realized it was still raining so we had to let water out of the pool. We forgot to last night so it was necessary. But I went to bed kind of late, since we did have that fantasy draft up at the Growler Country. So anyway, my brain is all kinds of discombobulated and I need a nap… or a drink. Either way!
Hope you get that nap! I do remember the days of kids at home and being pulled in so many directions, trying to get everyone where they need to be plus keep up with a job, their homework, feeding everyone. It’s not easy. Have that nap!
