Yo, I took a long hiatus from this link up because it seemed like the host was taking a break and then, well, I fell off the blogging wagon for a long while there. So glad to see it has returned!
1. What’s something we’d find you doing most afternoons?
Depending on when I knock off from “work” – i.e. move from my office in the closet to the living room chair – I’ll either read on my tablet, play an arcade game (we have a whole room), or we will watch a TV show until the kids get home.
2. Who do you take after? In what way(s)?
Hmm, well, we always think about how we take after our parents and in many ways I do. Like my mom, I teach. like my dad, I am quick to anger. But I have found, through my 21 years of knowing my husband, that I take after him in a lot of ways when it comes to viewing and handling the world.
3. ‘After every storm comes a rainbow’ or ‘the calm before the storm’...which phrase do you relate to more right now? Tell us why?
For once, I am more in tune with the former. I feel like we, as a country, are on the precipice. Do I think the rainbow is more imminent or the storm? More the storm BUT I am more hopeful that the rainbow can appear. Geez, when I think about it, maybe we are at a ‘calm before the storm’ place, at least in America. But for me personally, I am looking for the rainbows.
4.What are your plans for the day after tomorrow?
I guess that would technically be Friday? No real plans. We might have our karaoke system set up by then so maybe friends over to hang out?
5. Complete this sentence-“After all is said and done_____________________.”
I hope I can say that I did it… my way.
LOL. I don’t know why I channeled Frank there but I did. But it is true. I strive to be myself in all things and make my way as best I can.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I want to reach out to those of you who are visiting my blog from the host of this bloghop and say hey. I was linking regularly for many years but then I sort of gave up. It’s nice to have a theme again and it’s helping me get back to daily writing. I needed it. I wrote very little on the blog during the majority of 2020 (maybe because I spent a whole lot more time outside and with friends and family!) but now that I am feeling much more back to normal, I want to turn back to the blog more.
Your house sounds like fun! I love arcade games, especially Ms. Pacman, also karaoke and Frank Sinatra. Nice to meet you at the Hodgepodge 🙂
I’m hoping there will be some rainbows too. Arcade games sure sound like some fun. I miss playing those like I used to. I’ve always enjoyed hearing Frank Sinatra sing. I actually got to one of his concerts back in the mid 70’s with a group of girls. We had so much fun.
Have a great day.
So nice to see you back here! I brought it back early on in the pandemic because it seemed like we all wanted to connect and blog but were struggling with content. This has helped a little and its been fun to see old familiar faces and a few new ones too. I do enjoy the old arcade games and we’ve discussed purchasing one for our lower level. Have a great day! Keep looking for the rainbows : )
Thanks for stopping by. We have a karaoke machine and when we get it out, we have so much fun. The Grans love it.
I enjoyed reading your post. I like features like the Hodgepodge – a prompt but then you’re free to express yourself on the topic. I wrote my post on Tuesday night so I was considering Thursday as the day after tomorrow!
