- I actually went to bed at a decent hour last night (10:45ish) and that was without falling asleep on the couch. Then when I woke up this morning, though I was a little sluggish, I felt totally refreshed. This oddity was, well, odd!
- It allowed me to get up and run 3.5 miles, which was awesome at first then got a bit difficult, but I finished just fine. I’m running the pool robot and doing some laundry, then I plan to get started on some grading.
- Have I mentioned how much I love my new schedule?? It’s just so freeing. I am in charge of everything, for the most part.
- So we’ve had some weird weather: upper 60s/low 70s in the mornings – perfect running weather – and then it gets in the mid 90s in the afternoon. That’s a huge swing!
- After the concert a few weeks ago, I really reinvigorated my Avatar interest. They’re such a good band! I also managed to get one of my friends into them so now we have more to talk about. I put my two signed cards into little display cases and my plan is to get those and some of my other concert stuff up on the wall today.
- OK, I ran my mid-day errands: got some more stuff to make another batch of kombucha and picked up groceries and Chipotle. Of course now I’m all blargh after eating. I’m not really tired but I just lost my grading mojo. Have to somehow get it back. I have one hour until children return from school.
- I joined a group on Facebook for women who like Ghost (even though I’m in Legion of Ghost with others) and it’s funny to see how many of the women on there have no real-life friends who like the same music as them. I can blend and morph between genres – I once went to a Luke Bryan concert with a bunch of my friends and we wore cowboy boots and everything. But my real true love is hard rock/metal and where my peeps at, you know?
- I will say, it was nice a few weeks ago to reconnect with an old friend over music. We shared this connection over the songs – there were multiple times during the concert where we looked over at each other and the look was, “Yeah, this song is a banger; rock out!” I love it. And all because of Slipknot. Oh, and just look at this nugget. Ugh, Corey Taylor. ::heart eyes.::
- OK, gonna get my ass going and write something creative. Happy Tuesday!
The more the world changes the more our days stay the same
That is so cool that you love your new schedule and are able to do things you WANT to do. 🙂 I bet it’s a huge relief not having to go back to ‘that place’ again, eh? I love fall, but the radical temp swings could be better. At least they’re not as broad here in the Pacific Northwest, so I’ll try to send better range out your way…heh!! 🙂 Hope you’re having a great weekend!
