Oh you guys, it does seem like time flies these days. Friday was SUPER slow at work but finally, I was free. Relaxed in the evening. Ell had a friend spend the night and we mostly just watched movies. On Saturday, I got up and started cleaning bathrooms and the sunroom floor before doing a couple errands. Isaac had a 3 pm birthday party so I got some beer by the pool time in beforehand. While he was gone, Elliot went to the movies with a friend. So really, my kids had more to do than I did! In the evening, I prepared a lasagna for Sunday lunch and we mostly just relaxed, which I appreciate so much these days.
Sunday, I felt really motivated so I got up and ran 2.5 miles then mowed the back yard. I then got laundry going before going to the salon for a couple things; facial and pedi. I was a little annoyed though: I had a gift card to cover whatever they do during a half day. When I called and they couldn’t book all things at one time, they said I could piecemeal them out. But in that, they didn’t schedule the services that would normally come with the half day; they dragged them out to the longer, more expensive ones. Which I didn’t know until I was having it done, and even then, how would I know? So that kinda ruined it.
BUT, I got past it, then Ash, Koda, and I went to the store; the boys were swimming next door. All in all, an excellent weekend. And we won’t talk about how Sunday night was punctuated by what may go down in history as the worst ending to a TV show ever.

Oooh, a freebie. You won’t like these songs; you aren’t the typical demographic. BUT Rammstein and Slipknot put out new music so…
Claire,
So glad to hear you had a good weekend. Ours started off a little rough for DH. He wasn’t feeling well when he got home Friday evening. He felt so run down and tummy not at its best. We figured it was allergies mostly, so after getting a good night sleep, sorta, he felt better on Saturday and by Sunday I could see it in his face. He wound up helping DD#1 in her move. We didn’t get into bed until late last night, so he’s gonna be worn out by the time he gets home. Poor darlin’! You’re right this mewsic isn’t my favorite genre but I welcome the exposure. Sometimes I get surprised by your heavy metal song picks. Slipknot’s mewsic arrangement I kinda liked. Its the vocals I really didn’t care for too much. They do that throaty sound that sounds evil which I’d rather not hear. Rammstein is okay. I like the German lyrics even though I can’t understand a word of it. lol Thanks for the introduction. I reckon school will end soon if it hasn’t already. I cannot believe it’s the end of May. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!
I think I enjoy Rammstein BECAUSE I can’t understand them. Adds some mystique and allows me to hear the music more.
Are we talking about “Game of Thrones”? We didn’t watch any of it, to be honest…
You mean, you haven’t watched it at all? The first five seasons are quite good and then it goes downhill.
Weekends aways go so fast
I like heavy metal music more than some might think, lol. I do like some Slipknot (and I love that they are from Iowa, which state I have a connection with) but I do not like what I call the “screaming” songs for the most part. I’ve heard this already on Octane (yes, I sometimes listen to that Sirius XM channel!) but am not fond of this particular song. Rammstein – it depends. I don’t speak German; my son speaks a little. I like their vocals. They could make a love song (OK this isn’t a love song) sound like a martial anthem. Still, it’s good being taken out of your music comfort zone. Hope you had a good week.
I enjoy the fact I DON’T know what they’re saying; it’s almost more appealing that way!
Why do weekends go so dang fast?! I hate that! And I’m self-employed….It shouldn’t matter!
I’m not really into this genre of metal. Some of the music I dug but the vocals, not so much. I hate that gutteral screaming sound. It makes me cringe. My ex used to be into this music (he still is) and it was just yet another thing we were completely incompatible over! When I look back on it now, I don’t know how the hell we ever got together in the first place. Odd, I was just having this conversation with my Mom a week or so ago…
Anyway, when I saw the photo of Rammstein, I thought “Is that Marilyn Manson?” That center guy looks like him. I though maybe he was associated with the group but it’s not him. Don’t you think he looks like him? Or maybe I’m just not that versed in this genre’s artists…
Hope you’re having a relaxing Memorial Day weekend! It’s taken me all week to get over and finish making the rounds. See you in a few days for the next 4M. It’s my Heaven & Hell theme and I’m working on that this weekend.
That, and hanging with 10 greyhounds and a Lab mix who are here for the long weekend… 🙂

Weekends definitely go by too fast! The weeks are starting to blur together as well. 😉
Thanks for the intro – Princess Nagger likes this kind of music, so I’m gonna bond with her with it. 😉 Have a great week!
