It’s cold. I’m cold. I’m ready for the Spring. Even though it’ll bring with it allergies.
We had a very good weekend overall. Ash and I had some beers Friday and watched Speed. I was surprised the kids didn’t want to see it; it’s a solid 90s action movie.
On Saturday we had one soccer game so I ran early (it was 33 degrees!) and then went to the game, then came home and went back out to the grocery store. Came home and Ash’s friend arrived to help him build some stuff. I then took Dakota and that guy’s daughter out to a birthday party at a local ranch where they fed and rode horses. When I got home I was exhausted! But couldn’t really nap because I was keeping an eye on them and my conscientious son kept texting me when he got somewhere, as he and Isaac and friends were roaming the neighborhood. I appreciate his communication but I also needed rest!
Sunday was a bit more relaxed early on: just some laundry and pool stuff but I promised my family a Thanksgiving-like meal and that takes a lot of work! Once I finished, we ate, and I’d semi-cleaned up, I went upstairs to try and nap but couldn’t fall asleep! I think I drifted off for 10 minutes then was woken up. So yes, my weekend was a lot of failed sleeping attempts. There was a wrestling pay-per-view last night so I did not fall asleep in my chair at any point. Suffice to say, I am VERY TIRED TODAY.

Freebie week, y’all! And hence my title, I am gonna scare you with Avatar. Look, they might come across as weirdos but they’re really very tame Swedish boys. And I would die for them, ‘mkay?
I KNOW you guys don’t like this music but their videos are always interesting.
This next song is slower and I love it so. They don’t have an dramatic video for it – just this art one – so you don’t have to look at Johannes’s creepy clown smile. Give this one a shot. It’s honestly not metal at all. But they put out a concept album and this is from it.
Claire,
I totally am like you, so ready for spring. I’m tired of the cold and it’s going to get wicked cold this week. I’m glad are the days gone that I worried about keeping constant tabs on my kids. I learned after they moved out that I just had to let go of that because it consumes you and can leave your whole system in knots by while they’re still at home it’s a different story. Of your song picks today, I enjoyed your second feature much better. The slower tempo is more entune to my ears. It has an almost haunting sense to it, though. Thanks for joining the 4M gang on the dance floor!
WOW, That was the first song that I ever listened to with all that screaming, but the video was kinda cool that I had to see where they were going with that. Man, all that screaming that poor man’s voice. I just don’t get it I’m afraid, but your next tune was kinda cool. I guess I’m just not into screaming. More mellow is for me. I love your pics on top especially your tree, but I probably already told you that. Stay warm.. it’s going to be WCF 35 below tomorrow where I’m at, so I’m staying home. I live in Batavia which is 45 minutes west of Chicago. brrrrrrrrrrrr
I scare easy just so you know but I survived
You almost need another weekend to recover from the weekend, huh?
Dang, girl, you really need to rest or you will wear yourself to pieces! I have to admit that although there is metal I enjoy I am not a great fan of the “screaming” genre (I’m sure there is an official name for it but I don’t know what it is). But the first video was pretty interesting. The second song, probably some hidden meanings in there – it was definitely different. And what’s wrong with different? Please have a most restful week. I am pooped out by the time I read one of your posts.
I’m with John – you need another weekend to recover from the weekend! You tired me out! LOL! Hopefully you’re having a slightly lower-key weekend this weekend. 😉 Thanks for the dance!
