I joke that I’m gonna just walk out – quit on the spot – because it’s still super cold in here but I know I won’t. But I AM pissed off. I mean, come on. I put in a maintenance order Friday at 8:50 am and it still isn’t fixed?? And today, I have Dakota with me since the kids are off so I can’t have her freezing too. Admittedly, we are technically not supposed to have our children here. But so be it.
ANYWAY, we were super productive on Saturday. Got my bathrooms cleaned, the entire lower floor swept and washed, all rugs/carpets vacuumed, and we blew the vast majority of sticks off the deck – the ones there from Ash blowing off the roof. I am very satisfied with the work we got done. Ash and I went to Costco sans children and picked up some gifts too, so that’s a bonus. After lunch, we all went to Walmart and got a new fake tree. We had to chuck our old one because it was old and had been repaired one too many times. Plus, it was a little too short for our new ceilings. I made yummy enchiladas that night and had a meltdown about how awful my kids had been.
BUT, they were much better yesterday. It was a good day, in fact. Relatively relaxing and in the afternoon, Isaac, Dakota and I saw a play on campus. I wasn’t feeling well – again – so I mostly just sat around. I don’t know what this ick is but it keeps coming and going and I am tired of it!! Mostly, I can’t stand the heavy head. I feel like I am not quite fully aware of what’s going on around me. Ugh.

The theme this week is for songs about being thankful. This one is always hard even though I am sure there’s plenty that fit the bill. But the first one that came to mind was, well the Golden Girls theme song. I think you can see why.
