Wednesday ‘podge – Here’s hoping it sticks around!

Honestly, I love it and it gives me a reason to keep blogging. If our host wants to give it up, maybe someone else will take over??

1. What has been the highlight of your summer so far? (It’s still summer people!)

I guess the best part was all of June: we swam, we went to the beach, we had friends over. It was the high time of relaxing. Now things are all busy and stressful again.

2. What do you wish you’d done more of this summer? Less of?

I wish I had spent more time getting my house set up but at the same time, I got everything unpacked and when you’ve just moved, that’s a huge undertaking. I can’t think of anything I wish I had done less of!

3. Something you’re looking forward to on your September calendar?

Actually, Elliot’s cross country meets. His first one got rained out and there’s only 6 so I hope we can see some more and that he and his team do well. Since he’s a 6th grader this is the first time he’s been able to do it so it’s pretty exciting.

4. Best/favorite book you’ve read this summer?

OK, so I did read one of the JR Ward vampire novels (Blood Vow, I think) and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

5. Share something positive, encouraging, or uplifting here.

I saw this on facebook: “Keep going; difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations.”

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I’ve been slammed but I really am happy to see this link up come back. This part of the school year is always very busy and stressful for me. In fact, I got to the end of last week (the first of the semester) and I was surprised it had only been one week, since it felt like about seven! Luckily, the three day weekend helped quite a bit. So yes, the things coming up now are mostly my boys’ activities and then just general house stuff. I’m sorry this is late and boring but hey, work calls!

  1. I’m going to miss hodgepodge, too. Soon I’ll be unpacking boxes, too. Happy new school year and September to you.
