We got a whole lot done this weekend but I wanted more; I want another day to both get crap done but also, relax. We did get in the pool but it was a little cool still. Hopefully this week it will warm up. Temps soar to the low 90s by week’s end and we also have the solar blanket on. We had an interesting spring in that we still had morning temps in the 50s in the morning. In fact, even this morning – nearly May! – we were cool. This is pretty abnormal for North Florida.
On Friday, Ash and I had Cracker Barrel then saw the new Avengers, which was WAY better than I expected. I am a LITTLE burned out on superhero movies but this one was excellent. Also, a little sad. But well worth it.
My oldest son had a friend spend the night and my younger two went with my husband to a friend’s house to hang out with his kids. They all had a late night so it was a very peaceful Saturday morning for me. I woke up at 6:30 and no one was up until at least 7. I love drinking my coffee alone. As odd as that sounds.
It’s finals week here where I work so it’s slightly less crazy with people but I have a bunch of tasks that came in over the weekend. Mondays are rough and I can barely wrap my brain around working. Maybe that day I want to take off for cleaning my house really is more of a mental health day. I feel like that really is a legit use of my sick leave. I mean, getting myself on an even keel helps my entire life, including my work ethic here.
Anyway, let’s move to the music.
****************************
Since it’s freebie week, here are two songs I have listened to this morning:
Some Jimmy for your morning.
And some random techno? Sure; it makes good background noise.
jimmy Buffet is a lot of fun to listen to. I spent some time at his Margaritaville in Las Vegas a few years ago. Great drinks, fun songs – all around a good time!
Good, you fixed the second video. I liked Buffett better than it, but I didn’t think it was bad. Oddly relaxing, actually.
It’s still kind of cool in Atlanta. By this time we’ve usually had our first week of 90 degree heat. We haven’t had any yet…
Whoa, talk about going from one side of the fence to the other. Love Jimmy Buffet.. he’s party-time for sure. I went to a Margaretaville too, but in Orlando, Florida years ago the year the Islands of Adventure opened up that’s next door to Universal Studios. It’s a great place and I so wanna go back to see the Harry Potter exhibition. WHOA & WOW! Your next tune is just not me, but thanks for the introduction. It’s good to listen to all songs for educational purposes if anything. Now… I didn’t know you new house had a pool too! Can I come over and play??? ~hehehehe~ I would love to have a pool in my backyard, but it’s a lot of work I’m sure & being disable that’s no fun, but it would help in a pool. It’s great therapy! I go up to the Delnor Health & Welness Center to work out & swim.. FUNNNNNNNNN! Have a great week girlfriend & do take a nap if only for GP!!! hugs
Many of us have had times when we have felt like that and are glad when the day is over and we can fall into bed
Two very different songs. Buffet had such a sense of lay back and just relax. Then there was your “random techno”. I actually enjoy techno when I am in the mood (Kraftwerk, for example). This one was new to me. Have a great week!
I’m right there with you – a quiet morning drinking coffee by myself is a welcome respite. 😉
LOVE Jimmy Buffett! Thanks so much for the dance! 🙂
That’s how we moms roll with our sick leave right 🙂
Thanks for rocking with us!
