1. Where do you go when you need some inspiration?
Usually I turn to music and sometimes Pinterest. Not for inspiration to get crafts or projects done but to feel some kind of relief and happiness. When I listen to good lyrics or look at beach pictures, I feel renewed in my motivation to, well, go on.
2. What’s under your bed?
The carpet, lol. We don’t have furniture anymore because when we upgraded to a king, we got rid of the queen four poster. When we move to the new home, I hope to get some kind of minimalist frame.
3. Thursday, February 22nd is National Chili Day, National Margarita Day, and National Cook a Sweet Potato Day. Of the three which would you most like to celebrate? Is that likely?
Hmm, I guess chili since I was actually just thinking about it. I have to say, I probably won’t have any of them though.
4. What are you ‘snowed under’ with right now?
Scheduling! Remember when you were in school (or your kid, etc) and they had to register for courses? Imagine how many English courses are offered at a major university. Yeah, I am in charge of creating every single one of them in the computer so that the kids can browse and select them. It is tedious, seemingly endless, and a huge pain in my ass!
5. Tell us three to five things that make you feel balanced?
Drinking a beer after work, writing in my journal, music playing loudly on my drive home, running, and cleaning house!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I’m kind of over the hump in regards to the major project I had to do so I am tying up loose ends and trying to get other little things done. I was PRETTY darn stressed out this past weekend with all this, plus finishing up soccer and then house stuff. But now, we’re just waiting for moving day and trying to live as “normally” as possible, knowing there’s going to be a big shift in the near future. I am excited to move and begin the next step of our familial life. I know my kids are looking forward to it too; going back to having their own spaces (the boys are sharing a room right now). They want to explore the new spaces and I am happy that we will just HAVE MORE space. Our house is listed at about 1100 sq/ft but it was surveyed at 1420. Either way, the new home has a whopping 2768. As my sister said, “That’s a whole lotta house.” Yeah, and I am ready for it!
In case you’re interested, here are some sneak peeks at it:
Your new home looks lovely. Enjoy your week and good luck with the move.
