Hey all and happy Monday! I’m not really feeling Monday just yet but I’m coming off a pretty good weekend. I shouldn’t complain!
Friday we didn’t much of anything, which was nice. Saturday we hung around, did some shopping, and then in the evening, Ash and I went out with a friend who was in town. We went to Midtown Caboose for burgers and beer (I was in heaven!) I had their Runaway Train, described as, “Our delicious burger patty on a toasted onion roll with maple mayo, sharp cheddar cheese, caramelized granny smith apples, red onions, and salty smoked bacon.” I omitted the onions but OMG, literal heaven. After that, we went to the FSU baseball game. That was pretty awesome; they won in the 12th inning and the weather was excellent. You couldn’t ask for a nicer night for baseball.
Now I am normally unhappy on Sundays. I get this feeling like I’m busting my butt to clean and whatnot while everyone sits around. Well, I made it a point to be understanding and kind. And it worked. I got out early and weeded our front planter and then Ash felt motivated so he got new mulch. We didn’t need much; just a quick top layer. We had lunch at home and then set the pool up for later. Elliot played with a friend, the kids napped, I did laundry. We hung out outside, I took a run, and we had chicken tacos. We finished the night with Game of Thrones and though my back is absolutely killing me, I am happy with how our weekend went down.
I am the walrus; you’d think that would have been a more popular tune by the Beatles but not at first!
Queen – We Will Rock You – B side to We Are the Champions
Pearl jam – yellow ledbetter. One of my favorites that did eventually become a hit.
Fleetwood Mac – Silver Spring. A great song voiced by the White Witch but not popular on its own.
Iron Maiden – Total Eclipse. Ok so it is a B side but it was the song they cut from Number of the Beast in lieu of Gangland – which NO ONE LIKES. Not even the band!
