Answer these as best you can:
1.) When do schools go back where you are?
2.) What does “back to school” mean to you?
3.) As a kid/student, did you enjoy going back to school or was it a nerve-wracking experience?
4.) Is it starting to feel like Fall yet where you live?
5.) What is the best part about the last four months of the year?
1.) Public schools went back last Monday and the Universities started this past Monday; there’s always a week in between, which helps with traffic.
2.) Since 2006 it has meant college beginning and craziness associated with that. Last year was the first time I had a kid in elementary school and not just preschool/daycare so I got to experience supply lists and all that fun stuff. Then this year, I am not at work so I am missing out on that freshness you feel with a new Fall semester upon you.
3.) I guess I always enjoyed it. I liked a new teacher and the opportunity to meet new people. From middle school on, I always second-guessed myself when it came to going into a classroom for the first time; I was always nervous that my schedule was wrong and I was in the wrong place.
4.) Monday and Tuesday were cool mornings and it isn’t scorching hot anymore but not necessarily Fall. Usually around late September and October, it really cools down here. November and December are nice.
5.) I think the last four months have a certain feel to them: the months are all filled with something awesome and then we tumble towards Christmas. I think people are most happy in this part of the year.
