Friday Confessional – Fruitcakes in the kitchen

Photobucket

I confess… I am way excited for Elliot to start soccer soon but um, an email on Friday about practice starting Monday is a wee bit stressful. Looks like we’re going shopping this weekend! It’s not like I just have cleats and shin guards laying around; he’s never played on a team before!

I confess… I have been super tired this week BUT having a sick kid AND a sick husband will do that. I have been on drop-off AND pick-up duty and cleaning and disinfecting, etc.

I confess… I am sure that my lack of energy is actually directly related to my lack of running this week. There simply was no time. Even when I could leave, Ash was dead to the world and I felt bad leaving the kids. If I don’t get out today, I am vowing to use the elliptical.

I confess… I had a lot of little tasks to do at work this week and I kept putting them off. Guess when I am doing them: NOW.

I confess… I may have to take drastic measure to pull myself from the slump this afternoon and get things done. Coffee drip, perhaps?

I confess… I feel pulled in a million different directions and would love nothing more than either a nice big meal from a restaurant or to run away to hotel just for the night. All by myself!

  1. Here’s hoping life gets back to normal for you soon! Sick kid and sick man = no fun.
So funny to me to think of kids playing soccer at this time of year! Our “summer sports” have been over for months… ah, the joys of living in the tundra. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Have a great weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I have dreams of being all by myself with no dishes, small boys, or household chores to do. I could read, snack and not have to worry about anyone else. Wouldn’t that be lovely?

  3. I didn’t even realize it was Friday. I woke up this morning and went “At least Friday is tomorrow, yay for Thursdays.” It wasn’t until I saw people online posting about Friday that it dawned on me! Yikes-I have stuff I procrastinated to get done too! But awesome… Definitely awesome…

Good luck with the soccer shopping, and have a great weekend.

  4. I know it is hard to imagine, but you will miss these days! Mine are adults, one with kids of his own. Hang in there and I’m behind ya on the coffee drip, where can we get those??
