Last night, I allowed my self to get over-tired. I didn’t sleep well the night before and I failed to nap yesterday. Between the shopping and cooking and everything, I just didn’t make time to sleep. So by 11 or so, I was super tired and cranky. The bad feeling carried over to this morning when I found myself in a slump; depressed, feeling behind on all tasks, and generally sad. And I hate to admit that a big greasy hamburger, a Red Stripe and a nap solved my problems but I did start feeling a lot better. Oh, and after a frappucino and a walk around Target, I was all but totally back to normal.
What do you do to feel better when you’re down?
The other day, I was in a total funk. I called in to Pier 1 to get out of working that night, then went home after work, grabbed a pizza, and sat in the dark watching tv and glazing over until bed time. I also ate ice cream straight out of the carton. When I got up the next morning, I was back to my normal bubbly self. Sometimes you just have to go to your “cave” for awhile and resurface when the world has righted itself.
