- Both but only if they have graham cracker crust. I really really dislike regular flaky crust. Too dry! I will say that I have a fond memory of eating regular old apple pie but with a slide of cheddar cheese on top and that made it less blah.
- Hmm, I don’t really have a “fall” recipe but I do make a mean mac and cheese for Thanksgiving. Essentially, I make a roux with butter, whole milk and flour, adding in salt, pepper, cayenne, and nutmeg. Then I melt gruyere and sharp white cheddar. Mix and bake. It typically turns out very flavorful.
- I do decorate but in certain areas. My house does not have a lot of tables and/or surfaces that I can put stuff on. However, I do put out yard decorations and my mantle and hearth get a full treatment.
- If I had to choose I’d go apple cider. But I don’t drink a lot of that stuff in general; just black coffee, water or beer for me!
- I don’t do a ton of baking. I know that makes me weird, but I have a hard enough time as it is keeping my weight right; I don’t need extra sugar!
- The only fall-scented thing I like are those little cinnamon brooms I can find at the grocery store. Sometimes I will put some in my diffuser; I used to have scents like nutmeg and cinnamon bark, but I’ve been out of the habit lately.
- OK, here ya go: I’ve seen a lot of people getting excited for s’mores lately since we are coming into fire season. NO THANKS. Funny thing is that I enjoy all three items, just not together in a big chunky thing you can’t bite into and where the chocolate is never even melted. Yuck.
- Now, here’s where I am the weirdo. I quite enjoy candy corn. People say you can’t eat a lot and maybe that’s true, but I will take a small handful and it’s all I need anyway.
- For me, I start on Fall decor on September 15th but will typically do Halloween at least by October 1st, if not slightly before. I won’t do it any earlier than mid-September and please, never say the word “Summerween” around me, lest I swing at you.
- I am a pumpkin-aesthetic person, all the way. I have a big pumpkin guy blow-up and he’s sitting on a pumpkin. I have a couple of those metal tin things that look like pumpkins. I used to do hay bales with pumpkins and gourds but that got a little tiresome.
