- For the past few days, there’s been an unmarked red SUV from the Sherriff’s office pulling people over who speed into our neighborhood. It’s kind of been fun to watch just how many he gets; I hate how people go 50 through here. It’s also put us on high alert because I know we might be guilty of it sometimes too! (But I live here…)
- Speaking of traffic, they’re working on this one intersection farther up from the other neighborhood exit/entrance and it has backed up traffic in the neighborhood in general, way more than normal. It’s been pretty crazy and made us not be out from about 4-7 PM.
- I guess no complaints because it’s been so cold, I don’t want to be out there anyway.
- This California fire stuff is crazy and I have been watching a lot about it. It’s also crazy how many insurance companies canceled peoples’ fire insurance just before these began. I try not to go down the conspiracy theory path but I mean, seems sketchy to me. In fact, there’s a few TOO many interesting coincidences. Ugh. But I feel so bad for everyone who’re losing, well, everything.
- Anyone have a good moisturizer? I’ve tried all manner of deep relief types but my skin is so dry this winter, I am going crazy.

All those beautiful homes up in flames. It seems like policy failures are to blame for the fire starting in the first place. I hope voters keep what happened in mind when these grifters, I mean, politicians are up for reelection. I don’t have any good moisturizer recs. I use an Aldi brand one for my face… and just buy whatever is on sale for my hands. Ohio doesn’t have unmarked police vehicles which was a change for me as Indiana did. Hopefully vehicles will slow down in your neighborhood!
Right; on the one hand, I don’t mind the guy getting the speeders because they certainly do, right past my house. But it seems sneaky. And I agree; it’s so awful the fires are happening but if Cali doesn’t want to do controlled burns, well, they’re gonna be up the creek without a paddle.
