Friday Five – Rainy again, graduations

  1. UGH. Rainy drive into work and I am the only one here. But I forced myself in because I knew if I didn’t grade papers in here, I wouldn’t do it this weekend. But I have to leave around 9 to go to Isaac’s 8th grade graduation. It feels foreign; Elliot didn’t have one because it was Covid that year. Should only be about an hour and a half and I’m really hoping the rain will have stopped because I’m taking the rest of the day off so we can work on the pool. Maybe the three of us will go to lunch also.
  2. After yesterday’s potential job revelation, I was pretty elated. Left to go home and work on dinner and then I took Isaac to get pants. His black ones he’d been wearing for band concerts were so tight he could barely sit down! Luckily, we found them quickly at the Wal-Mart and then Ash and I took Koda to the pool to meet a friend and then he and I met his work friends at The Hub. While drinking beer out is really too expensive, we still had a nice time. We had our 10% off from the beer society membership card and we had a 15 dollar gift card from winning Star Wars trivia. Technically we didn’t win but the people who did said we knew more than them and they think we deserved it. LOL.
  3. This weather gives me a massive sinus headache so I’m trying to feel normal again. I felt AMAZING yesterday but because I hadn’t eaten much. I forget how much fasting helps. Then for dinner, we just had steaks and baked potatoes. Basic, simple, nothing processed. Yay.
  4. I just told Isaac we might go to lunch after his ceremony and then remembered we already have dinner plans. LOL. I cannot keep anything straight!
  5. Hopefully this weekend will be nice, weather-wise. I want to brew our last kolsch and maybe even sit outside in the sun. Hope you all have a nice weekend too!

  1. Congratulations to Isaac!

We’ve been getting a lot of rain here. We have guys building a new deck and replacing a door, and they haven’t been able to work…
