Random Tuesday – Hurtling towards the end

  • I’ve been sleeping well lately but Sunday night, I had weird dreams. One of them, I was waiting for a parade and began chatting with a woman who had a duck who wore shoes. For some reason, this was very novel to me in the dream. Then I was traveling in some middle eastern country and my husband dopped me off in this long tunnel where, at the end, was some furniture bazaar and he said he’d meet back up with me but we never established a place or time. I remember the gist being that I was a woman traveling alone amidst a lot of strange men. I still purchased a large table and and rug and then when I brought them home, my mom took our old stuff but ruined our floors in the process. The wooden slats were no longer connected so we had big gaps between each board. I am sure there’s some hidden meanings in all this, except for the duck wearing shoes because, what?
  • Last week, I got back into reading some Batman comics. I don’t know what sparked it; maybe the kids wanting to watch Joker. I have always loved Batman more than any other superhero, even though I started with Xmen in probably 1992. Once I started reading Batman though, that was it. My one true love, as well as Batman and Joker being my OTP – one true pairing. I just love their back and forth! The one I am reading now, Batman: Metal, includes this really scary dark Batman from another time and it scares Joker so much he’s crying. Super weird but really compelling.
  • With just slightly less than 3 weeks of Session to go, it’s coming down to it now. This week, they didn’t meet Monday and they don’t meet Friday but the next two weeks? Every day. Could be long hours too. Sigh. I know it’ll be over before I know it but it seems like a lot of days in between, when it’s really just not.
  • Leaving at 4:30 yesterday was such a blessing. I didn’t have bills on today so I was not beholden to any deadlines. I left, got home about 4:50, then Ash and I took a 4 mile walk. Then I made dinner for the kids, put brewing equipment away, finished laundry, and then the family watched National Treasure. And even after that, I helped Ash set up his pull up bar and some reverse row rings that attach. All in all, a productive night!
  • Alas, it’ll probably just be busy from here on out. It wouldn’t be so bad if the weather was nicer. Ok, I shouldn’t complain; it’s sunny But it’s cold! Can it be Spring now, pls?

    1. No, but starting this Sunday, our deadlines for the members mean they can potentially submit changes/amendments on the weekend so we have to monitor our laptops at home, in case.
