- Not feeling my best today but it is my own fault; too many different types of beer at brew club last night. I slept well and woke up fine but as I got going, a headache set in. Also, my allergies are flaring so there’s that too. I am sure in a couple hours I’ll feel fine but for now, I am lagging.
- So there are 20 people in my work suite and about 3-4 of them always keep their doors shut while here. It’s just their thing and they don’t necessarily partake in conversations with everyone. This morning, since I wasn’t feeling great, I just closed my door, grabbed this throw pillow I keep on my office couch, and took about a 20 minute nap. I figured since my big boss and my senior editor are out, no one was going to bother me. (And no one did.)
- I’m not happy that it’s supposed to rain later. My parents will be getting into town and then we have to revisit the DMV for the title transfer and Elliot’s license. I mean, you can do errands in the rain but I don’t like to. Doesn’t that sound so whiny? Sorry but it’s just bothersome.
- Thankfully, the headache is lessening now and I did get all my online grading done. Didn’t have any bills in my queue but I do now, though it’s just in redraft stage. I’ll be heading out in less than an hour so there ya go.
- I hate to keep taking time off when I don’t have a lot but soon here, we’ll be back to long hours and having to be in all the time so it’s a balance. I do think that my overall outlook on life would be happier right now if I’d gone to that concert (that got canceled). I tend to feel better when I’ve had live music in my life. Tomorrow begins a tour for Motionless in White and I see them on Friday October 13th. I. Can’t. Wait.
Going to work hung over is no fun. I did it a lot in the old days. Three aspirin and a quick nap used to fix me right up.
Thank goodness for couches and doors at work, eh?
It’s a bummer the Ghost concert was canceled. A Friday the 13th concert in October will balance it out!
