My (late) Sunday Stealing post for June 4

1. What are your plans for June

Working, taking kids to camp, eye doc appointment, dentist appointment, and a couple brew club events.

2. Your mid year resolutions or goals

I have a few goals I hope to accomplish by Summer’s end, mainly making sure I get back into my online school accounts and see if they have fall teaching for me. The other is to work on our homebrewery revamp, where we are taking the owl mascot and transforming our look into something a bit more spooky.

3. Are you good at taking care of plants

In the past I have managed to keep both basil and jalapenos alive but I’m generally not the best at it.

4. What makes you feel nourished

The sun. Even though I know it depletes and ruins things, I feel energized by it.

5. Which animals do you see most in your area

Hmm, squirrels, rabbits, birds of course but hawks and owls. We have quite a few coyote and bobcat sightings but not in my neighborhood, thankfully. We used to see a lot of racoons too but not lately.

6. Books on your summer reading list

I’m reading an LJ Shen book right now but I took a detour to read Liars Like Us by JT Geissinger. She is an amazing author.

7. Projects you want to tackle this summer

Good lord, so many. I need to still clear overgrowth in the yard and I have to build a simple light box to take pics of the beer cans we collect.

8. Do you have weddings, graduations, summer celebrations

Not right now; we’ve already done some of those. I am guessing we’ll probably do something for the 4th.

9. Which summer snacks are you excited to enjoy again?

Hmm, I can’t think of anything specific but we’ll probably eat a lot of berries.

10. How much time do you like to take for vacations

I personally feel like 3-4 days is the right amount of time but for the one we’re doing later this summer, we’ll be gone 10.

11. How much has changed since last summer?

Well for one, my money isn’t up in the air anymore and I also have a steady job so that’s a big change!

12. Something that would be out of character for you

Doing anything that involves wearing a dress or dancing.

13. What do you miss about winter?

NOTHING AT ALL. I hate winter.

14. Your favorite free / cost effective ways to have fun

That’s tough because almost everything costs but I’ll go with taking a walk, either in the neighborhood or on trails. I’ve always liked doing that with the family.

15. Who do you trust most to house & pet sit

Family mostly, though I am sure I have a few friends who would do it the way I’d want.

  1. I, too, love the sun! LOVE IT! I do not miss winter. There are too many gray days that make me feel gray. I actually LOVE wearing dresses – especially cool comfortable cotton dresses!
