It isn’t very cold today but it is grey; it’s probably going to be rainy all week. Which I guess is fine since I have 80 million papers to grade. I also have a kid home; Isaac was the last to fall to the illness, though he mostly had it last night and is running a fever only on and off today. He was pukey last night but is keeping food down today. I went ahead and let him stay today so he can be strong for this last week when they’re still doing work. Next week will be a joke.
Anyway, it’s been kinda crazy lately. Our pool has a leak and someoneĀ still hasn’t come out; I ordered a glass carboy for beer fermenting and it arrived shattered; classes ended so now I am faced with the daunting final grading; my husband is out of town for three days; the Christmas season has me both happy and stressed about money! I love this time of year but I am also feeling like I’ve lost track of what I am doing and can’t seem to wrangle organization into submission. I even bought a planner and I cannot seem to organize myself. I’m hoping I can get back on track in Spring; I was always pretty good about staying on top of everything.
Oh and another thing: I ordered Ozzy Osbourne tickets back in September and recently realized I hadn’t seen a confirmation email or tickets. Well, turns out I left an “L” out of my email so they never did get to me! So I finally called and got that straightened out. The show isn’t until May and I realize how crazy it is that you have to handle this stuff so far in advance. Oh, looks like it changed from being with Megadeth to Marilyn Manson; I’d see either one, truth be told.
Anyway, let’s move onto music.
Let’s play some more Christmas tunes! Here are some I always enjoy:
I love Home Alone, one of my favorite Christmas movies. Have a nice week!
Been a while since I’ve heard “SNOW.” Nice choices!

Irving Berlin – one of the greatest songwriters of all time, dare I say – enjoyed this – I was not quite two when this movie came out. “Carol of the Bells” is one of my personal favorite Christmas Carols. And, Home Alone is possibly my favorite Christmas movie (next to It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street, there is). I hope all your family is well by now. Fall/winter is such a bad season for illness.
Hope your household is back to being healthy – not fun being sick during the holiday season for sure!
And, if it makes you feel any better, I am so totally in the same boat as you as I, too, have lost track of what I am doing and canāt seem to wrangle organization into submission. I’m waaaay behind on everything – hoping to get a handle on it before my head explodes…heh!! Has anyone come out about your pool leak yet?? And such a bummer getting a carboy that was shattered during shipping. I hate when that happens!!
Great tunes – I haven’t seen Home Alone in forever, now I want to watch it again. š
