MMMM + Fall burnout weekend

We did everything Fall-like this weekend! All the things! As you know from Friday’s post, my younger kids had a fall festival at daycare so I went to that for a bit. Then I went back to work until the end of day. Went home and got ready to go to Ell’s school’s fall festival, Croctoberfest. The kids did bounce houses and ate nachos, ran around, got spray paint tattoos. It was a blast! Once they got in bed, Ash and I watched The Counselor, which was not all that amazing but opens up with a scene of Michael Fassbender doing naughty things to Penelope Cruz and whew, Fassy!e164d2718965d5b700fa83b6ff7c44a9

Need I say more?

Anyway, Saturday was all football games in the AM and I was getting a lot done from my ongoing to-do list. We rested a bit before going to the pumpkin patch and then Costco. The patch went pretty well, though all the pics with me and the kids had huge sunflares. Ugh. Oh well. The ones of them turned out well.We had dinner and I mowed the lawn and we all watched TV; it was a nice weekend. Sunday also went well; I won in both fantasy football leagues and got stuff around the house done, including finishing up Dakota’s sushi costume. It shall be revealed in due time. ;). This week is going to be insane because Ash and Ell go to Arizona mid-week and I have to help get them all packed and then embark upon solo parenting, which is always fun. It should be ok; I’m used to three so two might be a nice break.

Since it is another freebie week, I present to you some fanvids; fan made videos with good music based on shows I  watch or have watched. The first one is a Buffy/Spike vid with my all-time favorite Bush song, Out of This World. I do WARN YOU; the video shows some scenes between Spike and Buffy that are sexual in nature, as that is the nature of their relationship! (Est, 2:10) But it’s one of the best fanvids I’ve found for them. Spuffy forever! (Not big on the whole Buffy/Angel thing but that’s an entry for another time. And if you never watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then you’re lost but just go enjoy the song!)

This next one is from Bones, because, well, it’s been my show for a very long time. Plus, this is the only Enrique Iglesias song I like but it works so well here. You know, there’s something to be said for the amount of work people have put into this dedication videos. I know I don’t have the patience for it!

That’s all for today; check out everyone else’s songs and I’ll see you in November!

  1. I actually liked Buffy & Spikes fire & ice relationship over Buffy & Angel. Why? Well…Spike went from bad to good. He wanted to change for her. He wanted to be the best he could be for her. That shows he loved her enough to be a better man even if he was dead. Good choices. Have a tunetastic week!

  2. I never got into Buffy. Maybe I should give it a shot. Might have to see if I can find it streaming. My sticking point was always that the show was so, so different from the movie and I really liked the movie…
