Answer these as best you can:
—ANSWERS–
1.) The only thing I could think of was that I actually learned how one launders money. This was prompted by a Breaking Bad episode so I went and actually read about it. I guess I knew what it entailed but didn’t understand.
2.) I can’t think of any recent bad gifts but I can tell you that at my fourth birthday party, a girl gave me a Barbie and I threw it at her; I did NOT like dolls! The best gift, in recent years, has to be my laptop or my camera. I could be cheesy and say my children – because they’re definitely a gift – but that goes beyond my level of hokey.
3.) I think I really liked somewhere around 26, 27, 28. Ash and I were stable, in great physical shape, and more mature than early 20s. I still feel good at 34.5 but I liked that age very much. (Below: Me at 26, on our honeymoon.)
4.) I once started this short story called “Lost, but seeking”, and I think that’s pretty accurate. I am always looking to improve and find who I truly am. Some days I know it and others, I feel lost. Yeah, let’s say that one.
5.) Technically, there’s some kind of gland in your brain that actually “flips” at age 25 and enables one to make mature decisions. I would say the moment I actually FELT like an adult was when i took Elliot to the doctor when he was about 2 weeks old. I thought to myself, as I carried him in, that this is what adults do: they’re responsible for someone else’s life. (Below: me with Elliot when he was new!)
Lost, but seeking is a very good title. It works for me too.
