To me, the month doesn’t start until everyone goes back to school. And today, everything is relatively back to normal. FSU begins, Elliot goes back to Kindergarten, and we’re all in our “right” places. I enjoyed the break – don’t get me wrong – but it’s high time to be back to the same old routine. We thrive on routine and I cherish it. I get more things done with a routine.
Anyway, weekend was good. I went out to dinner Friday night with friends, which was nice in that I am always reminded that things could be worse. It was bad in that I ate way too much. Saturday morning Elliot had his first soccer game so that was interesting. He did well; they did well, but still “lost” (I guess they don’t technically keep score at this age) but it was pretty fun, if not a wee bit cold out there. After the game we had Mexican and then promptly took long naps, which were much needed. It started to rain after that and kept raining until maybe Sunday afternoon. Sigh. We didn’t do much Sunday, though I did manage to go to the mall for some pants. Ash and I watched What to Expect When You’re Expecting last night, which could have been a lot better, considering all there is to talk about when it comes to pregnancy. But it was good overall.
This week’s theme is Commercial jingles
Here is my contribution; a song for Hardy’s – which I hate – but this song is kickin’. I included the real song after. (be warned, it’s 10 minutes long.)
