Time is going way too fast, and I am certain it has to do with being overbooked. I’m pretty sure I didn’t do anything Friday night but since I stayed home with Isaac, we ran errands all over town. And I did get presents wrapped, so that was good. Saturday morning we had soccer at ten, then came home to eat something then Elliot went to a birthday party, Isaac napped, then I took Isaac to a birthday party in the afternoon. He’s sill a bit under the weather but not so sick he doesn’t want to do things. He was wary at the gymnastics place but eventually liked all the stuff. That evening, I made spaghetti and then we watched Mickey’s Christmas Carol, which is one of my all-time favorites. I recall it being longer though, which is – I guess – how I saw it as a child.
Sunday morning we went to target, of course, though I didn’t buy much. I overdid it on Friday. I made lunch and napped and watched football and all those typical Sunday things. I still felt worn out by the end of the weekend. I have a lot of things to think about between now and our Chicago trip and it’s pretty much blowing my mind. I still need to get the boys some coats that won’t soak up wetness (for sledding) and I think that’s it. I have to buy a few small items but most of my other gifts for my extended family can be purchased in January, since that is when we’re getting together. Though I am compelled to get it all out of the way now, I have to budget my money because Lord knows my portion of the trip (food mostly, Ash is covering gas) will not be cheap. BUT, this will be a Great American Adventure, I tell myself, and dammit, I will make it work.

Continuing in the monthly theme of Xmas, here are some songs that always warm my heart:
Coming from the south & going to north must be a real climate shocker. Right? I know your kiddos will love the snow. I would love to see a little of that white fluff, but our past couple of Christmases have been brown. 😦
I love your Christmas classics – all favorites of mine! Thanks for joining us on the dance floor on Monday’s Music Moves Me!
Love all your choices & it sounds like you had a busy weekend. Hope your little boy is better. Nothing like ol’ Blue Eyes to soothe the heart. Love your choices. Dean & Frank together is a real hoot! I can remember my mom & gramma going crazy over these two! Have a great day & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
It’s crazy how buys life is getting and how fast time is flying, isn’t it? LOVE all your choices! Have a great week! 🙂
Christmas Comin’ Round Again, so we’ll be Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree on a Winter’s Night – Merry Christmas Baby, here’s a Box of Rocks. And Happy Hanukkah!
