WWTK – Humpday

PhotobucketHosted by (the above and): Impulsive Addict, Seriously Shawn, and Janette. Go there!

{1} If the blogging world had a talent show, what would your act be?
I’m going to go with seeing how many memes I can do in a week. I sort of went crazy with them there for a while and it was all I did! Maybe it should be balancing memes and regular posts.

{2} What’s the most likely reason you might become famous?

I would hope it’s because I’m going to finish writing this novel and start a whole contemporary romance series and people will love it. 🙂
{3} What question are you repeatedly asked that you are tired of hearing?

I actually really hate hearing, “How are the kids?” because it’s a trick. No one REALLY wants to know so you just say OK even though they may not be.

{4} What’s the last thing you broke?
I’m not sure why this one is so hard… the only thing I can think of is the promise to myself that I’d be running farther than I am. But it’s hot and even 4 miles seems really far. I’m not winded, I just don’t feel like doing it.

{5} Finish this sentence. I can’t believe I used to ________.

…not want kids. That’s right, I had no intention of a.) ever getting married or b.) having offspring. I didn’t really even consider either until someone came into my life who convinced me that these were good things, not horrible constructs of society that I was pressured into doing. 🙂

(2006, us in a Mexican place. I went for more natural here.)

  1. And aren’t you so glad you had kiddos? Because they’re two of the cutest buggers in the blogosphere, for realsy!

I couldn’t think of anything I broke either, although I’m sure I’ve broken many things over the past few weeks.

Balancing memes and actual posts is hard, I feel like if I post more than once a day too many days a week I’m being annoying and then if I’m not posting enough I’m neglecting my blog…oh the woes of a blogger!

  2. Novel… sounds interesting. Good luck with it.

Love can make you feel like the impossible is possible.

  3. Oh, I always hated the “why only one child” questions, and was glad to marry my hubby who had two children. Ended that!!!

  4. 2 things:
    1) Please mention me somewhere in your book.
    2) Just tell people really how your kids are doing. Make them suffer 🙂

  5. I, in my 18 year old delusions wanted lots of kids. Now I can’t believe I ever thought that lots of kids would be a good thing. The two I have are just enough, thank you.

  6. What exactly is “contemporary romance”— sounds interesting! I thought romance was romance… lol Maybe that’s my problem!! 😉

    Have a great day!

  7. I used to say the same thing about having kids– and then met my hubs and said I wanted 4… WTH happened!? I have no tolerance for other people’s kids but I can handle my own…. on my way to having 3, but not sure I can kick it with 4…. I agree on the how are the kids question– Its a convo space filler.

  8. Meme’s are addictive! I had to back away for a while too.

You’re right though. Some people ask about your kids and they could care less.

You didn’t think you wanted kids?? Whaat?

Keep running!! Use just started and may be starting to enjoy it!

  9. You’re writing a novel? That is very cool, be sure to let us know when it’s ready for purchase!

That’s a great answer. I have to agree, some people just ask to be polite, they really have no interest at all. RUDE!

I break the promise to myself that I’ll get back in shape all of the time. Yeah, it sucks but that’s life.

Well come on you have to admit that sometime they are little horrible constructs of society!

    Right?
