Ok my beloved blog readers, I need your help. I am completely at a loss when it comes to new music. The last thing I downloaded was Kenny Loggins so as you can clearly see, I need some help. (Perhaps mentally, but that’s an entirely other entry.) So, what have YOU been listening to? It doesn’t have to be new necessarily but I am in need of an updated playlist.
Band of Horses
The Damnwells
Brandi Carlile
That’s all I can think of.
I’m definitely of the mixed playlist variety. I get a little bored by listening to an entire album of just one artist.
So, if you need some work out music or something to get you hyped up, go with the “Feed the Animals” mix by Girl Talk.
Or, if you want, I can send you a few playlists that I’ve created around certain themes, depending on your mood. Examples: music for driving with the windows down, music for rainy days, music for when you’re feeling nostalgic, and music for when you need to mellow. I’ll be happy to email you.
Adele
The Weepies
Feist
Ben Folds
The Dandy Warhols
A Fine Frenzy
Homemade Knives
The Killers
My Morning Jacket
Ray LaMontagne (esp. since you like Kenny Loggins)
TV on the Radio
Wilco
That is all…for now.
I can’t get enough of:
Adele
Feist
the Weepies
Tegan & Sara
ok…clearly Catherine and I have been listening to the same stuff!
Seal’s Soul album is good for a romantic night in. If you know what I mean. I mean, I vaguely remember those nights when I listen to Seal’s Soul album.
I’ve been on a Travis kick, since I will be seeing them in April. Then again, I’m usually up for Travis anytime. God, I love them!
I guess that was a recommendation. 🙂
I keep going back and replacing the albums I’ve been missing – like a few Dead Can Dance and some early Depeche Mode. But I think we have very different musical tastes. I downloaded the Elizabeth soundtrack, which I love to write to and then I fell in love with this group called London Elektricity – It’s all about where the moods swing.
BTW, I adore at all hours Goldfrapp and Ladytron, oh and all Dave Gahan’s solo albums.
