So, I ran up to this Shell station to get gas (OMG 56 dollars!) and this is what I saw on my way out. Good lord, people.
BUT, my Monday is getting better as each hour passes… as the moments tick by and I am closer to something more pleasing, something like productivity, lunch, getting home, dinner, football. It’s looking forward to things that makes me able to trod through a day. Sometimes.
I have read a few blogs lately (Mo Mommy, The New Girl) that have complained about the Blah. The inevitable boredom that can seap into our lives now and then, regardless of how much Good Stuff you have going on and present in your life. I felt it last week, pretty hardcore. But after the weekend, I am in an immensley better mood. Also, I did a slight bit of shopping and I don’t care what anyone says: retail therapy works.
I find that a stroll around Target (with a latte, of course) helps bring me up almost instantaneously. Sometimes I take Elliot with me and sometimes I go alone. Never with Ash. That is more stressful than anything. We do not shop well together except at the grocery store and even then it could be a very painful experience. It shouldn’t have to be so awful but we don’t have the same ideas. Although, we shop the same way for clothes: get in and get out as fast and as efficiently as possible. Though I’d like to buy more clothes and he only does it when Absolutely Necessary.
I hate to bore you with the details here so I won’t and just mosely on along here. I’ll be in my office, XM radio tuned to The Heart station, working on Spring Book Orders. What are you up to?

men suck at shopping, don’t they? And it’s SO NICE to be able to leave baby at home with papa and take a few minutes to yourself.
Hope you break out of your funk soon! (PI can do that to you, you know)
Men suck at shopping? Heh, sure.
Speaking of spelling stupidity, I was driving by a new Asian place the other day. It had a giant banner hanging up that said “GRAND OPINING!’
And then there’s this jewel I snapped on Tharpe street a couple years ago:
And if HTML doesn’t work:

That is an outrage! Who needs alcohol at 9AM? 🙂
