Can I just point out the sheer amount of babies being born? Ok, that sounds stupid because there are about 7.4 babies born in the U.S. every minute. (This is a general answer from much internet research). But anyway, my friend’s best friend in Washington had her baby this weekend, her sister-in-law is scheduled for the 14th of this month, Mother Goose Mouse just had one ( a cute one!) on the 31st, Linda at All and Sundry went in this morning to have her little one removed from her belly, and Beth over at So the Fish Said could go into labor any minute. How ridiculous is that? I’m looking forward to reading those last two blogs to see how having a newborn AND a toddler works out. For now that I’m figuring out the ropes of infancy, I’m starting to worry about what TWO children will be like. But really, that’s a long way off and I shouldn’t fill my head with even more poiontless worries. When it comes, cross bridge.
I also look forward to all the *new* baby pics. Babies are pretty creepy when born, I don’t care what anyone says. I mean, look at Elliot as he was about 5 minutes old.Imagine that plus a layering of placenta and fluids of unknown origin, etc.
They all usually clean up nicely but still… I love seeing the newborn pics. It must be because I have now experienced all that and it has solidified this thing inside me, that mother thing. I mean, I take notice of moms and babies in stores now. If I see a dad carrying a kid in a car seat, I am intrigued beyond belief. What brand of seat do they use? Wonder how old that baby is. Do they have a cool carseat toy that plays a song like we do? Are they wearing cute little baby clothes? This must all be part of baby brain and I sort of wonder if it will ever end or if my life is now My Life Plus Baby forever. You know, it could be worse.

I know you asked on a previous post, but I _really_ dig the new look! It’s a sharp layout, and I like the starry starry night with the moon.
Nearly all of my wife’s so-called friends from high school have had a baby. My first cousin has had two. So I understand the feeling, despite the fact that Jess and I have not had a little one yet. But I can’t say that babies fascinate me just yet. Still, Everybody is having babies. Making the world go round.
