On my drive into work, I saw a man who looked exactly like Cuba Gooding, Jr. and I thought to myself, “I should name my kid after a country… not.”
Halfway done reading Watchmen but I conference today and tomorrow, soaking up good, quality reading time. Doesn’t my job understand that I need time to read graphic novels?
Childbirth classes start tonight and we’ve been instructed to bring two pillows and a blanket. When I get home, the search will begin for some decent pillow cases and a blanket that doesn’t bear signs of dog damage.
I’ve reached the 30 week mark; 3/4 of the way done. 75%. Nothing new as of this stage; just some general hip pain and the annoyance of a large belly and barely being able to see my nether regions without the aid of a mirror. His feet sometimes get lodged up near my ribcage and although it doesn’t hurt that bad, it’s rather uncomfortable. Maybe I haven’t felt what all these other women who complain about it have felt. Or maybe they’re just a bunch of wusses who already took maternity leave so they could sit around and eat cookies. I don’t know which one but they sure do have a lot of time to post on the message boards.
My baby shower is this coming Saturday. I hope for a diaper cake and that we don’t play silly little games, especially not the one where you put different chocolate bars in diapers and try to determine which specific candy it is by smell. I’m just not up for that one.
I have 10 minutes until students start showing up so it’s off to the bathroom for me; oh the joys of third trimester pregnancy.
my sister told me about that diaper game and i was completely grossed out. who the hell thinks that’s fun? i’m so not having kids…
Ha ha yeah, it’s a pretty lame game but I am disgusted by it anyway. Really, I don’t want games at all but it’s out of my hands.
