Glutton Bowl 2K6

Ohhh, my belly. Ok ok, I actually wore a tighter shirt to limit myself as we sojourned to the great trough; that is, Golden Corral. Normally, we do not eat there. And if you use the word normally to explain visits to any restaurant, you probably go there too much. But that’s a tangent. We do not visit the trough that often because it is depressing, even though it is tasty. You get to see the person you could become if you did make it a frequent stop. It was good today; I think I actually eat less there because I take about two to three bites of a bunch of stuff and it’s never as much of one thing as I could – or want to – eat.

I mowed the lawn to work up to the gluttony that ensued but I still came home feeling bubbly and greasy. So I took a short nap. I have a driving force convincing me to take naps now; my free gift from the salon gift card from graduation included a lavendar eye pillow. They reccomend chilling it in the fridge before using and it really is a very relaxing experience. I don’t think it’s scientific but I have woken up from two naps now where I used it and felt less blah than normal. I am usually very cranky post napping. Maybe it is the calming effects of lavendar. Did you also know that lavendar is a natural repellent of moths and fleas?

I think we’re laying low today due to the high activity all week. Since Elliot has been here we’ve been climbing and playing Magic and all around trying to cram a lot into one week, since we do not often see him. Although, I do believe he is flying out to Arizona for Christmas too. Tomorrow is Sunday – obviously – but not just any Sunday. It is the first Sunday of the NFL season. Which means from now until the end of the year, Ash will go to Pockets on Sundays from about twelve to five, watch all the footballs games, eat hamburgers and hang out with his football season friend, Mike. I started going last year because I joined their fantasy league. My prediction is that I will go but miss about two or three Sundays so I can have some relaxing/cleaning time to myself.

I have to go next door now and let their dog, Baby, out into the yard. They were invited to the FSU/Troy football game and left around noon to tailgate. The game starts at six so I had best go do that. They’re such nice people, I don’t mind helping them out.

  1. Eeep! I am convinced that all-you-can-eat-buffets are what’s killing America right now with obesity and heart disease.

All hail the power of the glorious nap.
