With the exception of Elliot’s soccer game, we had zero plans this weekend. And you know what? It was NICE. In fact, I typically like coming into work on Monday mornings but I realized late last night, that I just really enjoyed being home those two days.
For our date afternoon, Ash and IĀ ate hibachi and then saw Warm Bodies, which was by far the best zombie movie I have ever seen. I am not big on those because they’re always so depressing. This one was not! Ash went out Friday night so the boys and I had dinner and played with toys until bedtime. I pretty much vegged out until about 10:30 then took a bath with some of my new Lush stuff and then went to bed.
Saturday morning we went to Elliot’s game and then Costco, I made mashed potatoes and corn to go along with our rotisserie chicken and then we all took a really long nap before eating pizza and watching a movie. Totally relaxing. Sunday was a repeat though with Publix in the AM. Still a nap but then we went to Academy for a new football and a baseball glove for Ell. The evening was spent in the yard because even though it was mostly cloudy, it was a wonderful temperature. After the kids went to bed, Ash and I watched 1000 Words (with Eddie Murphy) and I tell you, it was pretty good. A lot better than what the previews made it seem. Glad I decided to watch it instead of going in the bedroom to read.
And here we are, Monday morning. I have a headache, a stomachache and a million and one things to do. SO, without further ado, my contribution to this week’s them of Love songs that cannot have love in the title!

P.S. don’t forget to come back here on Wednesday for my We Want to Know meme; it’ll be fun!

Awesome choices, Claire! And isn’t it nice to have a ‘do nothing’ weekend? Your weekends are always so jam packed – bet you appreciated having a weekend that wasn’t so jam packed! š
Gimmie That Girl, my Honey Bee, Sheās Everything ā Bless The Broken Road because these Little Moments Felt Good On My Lips
Just love your love song choices without the mention of “love” in the title for today’s theme. My fave pick of your line up today is Billy Joel’s Just the Way You Are, but I loved listening to the first two which are new to my ears.
Thanks for joining us on the virtual dance floor at Monday’s Music Moves Me! Happy V’Day to you & Ash!
PS: Thanks for the heads up on Eddie Murphy’s movie “1000 Words”.
Ah, such fun choices,Billy Joel is an old favorite of mine. My daughter liked the movie too, sounds like a nice weekend.
Great choices my friend, and I hope you feel better soon! Vitamin C & chicken soup always the best. Kathy Mattea is always a good choice for a romantic song & Billy Joel as well. Have a great week and HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
Wonderful song. I have never heard the first two. I loved the 2nd one!
My hubby would be thrilled at the 3rd one. š
Have a great week.
Very nice selections
Thank you for sharing and enjoy the rest of your week! š
