1. What’s something recent that had you ‘tickled pink’? 

I guess I will say when Ash and I won a gold medal for our Dry Irish Stout. I was so surprised! And when I found out who got second – a brewer we know who is phenomenal and has been doing it far longer than us, it was all the better.

2. A bed of roses, everything’s coming up roses, every rose has it’s thorn, stop and smell the roses, rose-colored glasses, a rose among thorns…which rosy expression might currently be applied to your life in some way? 

Maybe a rose among thorns; it’s been A WEEK but I think the weekend with no plans can be considered the rose. I am in desperate need of a way to unclench my jaw.

3.What makes you feel loved and appreciated?

I guess it would be small things my husband says or does to help or when my kids do that as well. When they do something without being told.

4. A box of chocolates or a bouquet of fresh flowers-what’s your pleasure? Any special plans for Valentine’s Day?

I guess flowers but I am not in need of anything. I really don’t care for valentine’s day as a holiday. We have reservations at The Huntsman on the 28th so there’s that. I am excited!

After the kerfuffle of yesterday with Elliot melting down over his relationship issues and my car accident and Ash stressed about having to serve on a jury, today is slightly better. I was given some kind of Nissan sedan (I honestly didn’t look at the name) and I can now get form point a to point b. I am hanging on, but barely.

Do you ever have those days? Where you are putting on a great face, a good smile and continuing to work, but simmering just underneath the surface is the shout as the straw breaks your back or the tears you kept back for weeks? That is how I feel today. As I drive through town I feel numb and as if I’m not even seeing things. My brain is overwhelmed and I just need some kind of break! Monday was supposed to be but it didn’t really end up being relaxing. Maybe this weekend will be what I need. Just a soccer game on Saturday and that’s it!
