1/8/26 – Currently…


LOVING |

New eating habits. I already feel a little weight off my hips. Monday-Wednesday (and sometimes Thursdays) the plan is to eat keto and within a smaller window, walk each night, and not drink at all. We were good this week. I have a keto-ish lunch today but of course, it’s brew club tonight so that’s the exception.

RESOLVING |

To stay on top of all the things I have to do. I am usually a good calendar person but towards the end of 2025 I was getting lazy about putting stuff on.

PLANNING |

My next 3 months. We have a lot going on: beer judging events, rehearsals for my daughter’s musical theater production, soccer reffing, potentially soccer playing for Isaac, soccer games for my daughter now, then heading into Spring Break. We have no plans to travel but hey, maybe!

EATING/DRINKING |

This week’s keto menu included: hard-boiled eggs, babybel cheese, macadamia nuts, bison, brussel sprouts, mexican salads, bacon and eggs, and a whole lot of raspberries and blueberries.

Drinking more of my LMNT salt packets and gone back to taking apple cider vinegar before the big meal.

WATCHING/READING |

We’ve been churning through some of the movies that will be nominated for awards this year, notably: Eddington, Eternity, Bob Trevino Likes It, It Was Just An Accident, and a few others. And we finished Stranger Things.

I have a book I’ve been working through and I like but now that the semester has started, I’m reading Gatsby and Tale of Two Cities.

  1. I’m narrowing in on healthier eating after what felt like three months of big heavy meals. I feel better and am happy to be walking again after a year spent with too much time on the couch nursing my still aching ankle (no swelling so I’ll take it).
