I’m really trying to be but so far, nope. I slept like crap, had weird dreams, and I just have this sort of pall hanging over me. Got into the office and the fuse blew again so the AC unit they gave me Friday is not working. Sigh.
Anyway, I am not much in a mood for recaps but let’s do a brief overview. Friday was fun; we met some friends out at Railroad Square to play pinball. We didn’t play as many games as I’d have liked since it was so busy but we did have a good time. We went to Amicus after because our one friend had not been. They had a fantastic new pilsner.
The next morning, I chose to run and then Ash and I took a 4 mile walk. That was probably the highlight of the entire weekend because it wasn’t hot yet. There was even a breeze. When we got home, we cleaned up the extra branches and stuff on the large branch that fell. It looks a lot neater now and whenever we can get someone to cut it down, that will be nice. After the tree work, we ran some errands around town, which is always exhausting, then made a very healthy keto lunch. But then of course friends came over and we drank and there went that. But the kids swam and it was fun.
Sunday I got up and started preparing the brewing equipment. We finished around 1:30 and then had tacos. I did laundry. That’s about it, really. This week feels stressful and it only just began. Ash goes to a conference and I think he’s stressed about it, which then makes everyone else on edge. He’s not mad at anyone, per se, it’s just a feeling. I get it; there’s a lot that’s on him and him alone.
So yes, here we are back in the office. The only “good” thing is that my boss is out until 1 and my senior editor is out. Though fair to say, she’s been really nice to me lately. I will probably find my stride here soon but for now. UGH.
SO for music today, it’s just a freebie week. I haven’t been listening to anything new or exciting but I have decided that this entire album is good so here ya go. Also, what was the deal in the 70s with people always putting their ugly mugs on the cover? I mean, I’ll hand it to them: they didn’t seem concerned about looks.

Yeah the whole capitol is having AC issues due to construction. It’s not too bad and when I leave work and get in the car, I’m thankful!
Regarding record covers from the 1970´s- isn´t it probable that the woman cared how they looked for them? I feel like guys are generally much more blase about looks than women? Probably less so now than in the 70´s but still. I hope your AC gets fixed soon! We are having a lovely weather day but it´s going to get real hot, real soon. It’s hot everywhere now. Everyone went crazy for seeing the Northern lights and when I found out the reason they were visible so far was due to a solar flare, I was a little jaded. Ha. It’s just a HOT year I guess.
No A/C??!! I’m outta here. Hope your day improved and you’re in the A/C or pool chillin’ for the rest of the day.

I’d hate to work in a place with no A/C. I hope your week gets better. We’ll, most musicians, especially in the Rock field, are not good lookers but boy was their music original and excellent unlike today when it’s a lot of repetition and little substance but they are over 16…ughh. I remember when KISS finally said they’d let people see what they really looked like…that backfired…lol

Back then music was all and looks were secondary…these days too much is put on image and looks. Give me the voice and music….close your eyes if the sound is good looks don’t matter where as however good they look if the sound is crap…..it’s crap. Sending cooling vibes 💜💜
