- This weather is driving me insane! Warm, cold, windy, cold, warm! Pollen everywhere, rain, warm, cold. It’s nuts right now and my allergies are killing me. But the yard is looking mighty nice, so that’s a positive thing.
- Yesterday I kept getting chills; not like I was sick – because I felt fine – but just little shivers. I assume it’s hormones? I don’t know; the closer I get to ye olde mid-40s, things are always just questionable. I got in the sauna when I got home and made dinner then worked on a project and I was ok, but still felt really exhausted. I feel a lot better today though.
- Speaking of age, tomorrow is my 45th birthday. Ash says he’s still taking us all out to dinner but I feel guilty about it, since he and I went out last weekend. But then we realized that my oldest has work tomorrow so we’re pushing it to lunch Monday. The kids are already off so this kinda works out, because where we want to go is a lot cheaper during lunch! Now I feel better about it. Oh, and he just texted to tell me we are meeting for lunch tomorrow with Brian, our friend who shares my birthday.
- Still a bit money-stressed but doing little things each day to calm my nerves. I actually spent wisely last month so that helps. You know what really saves? Eating at home! I mean, it really made a huge difference. It’s not even difficult to cook but in those first few months, I always went out for lunch with Ash so we had more time together.
- Ok, on another positive note, I realized that we will be on vacation for July 4th, which means that’s an admin holiday. If the Speaker is nice again this year, he’ll also give us Friday off so that’s 16 hours of comp time I don’t have to use. And that makes a big difference because I already allotted a certain amount for the days I know I’m taking off so that’s 16 hours I can put on here and there instead. I’ve been using an hour sometimes at the end of the day and leaving at 2:30.
- OK folks, I have to find some ways to pass the time before my GBU this afternoon. That stands for Good, Bad, and Ugly, which is my boss’s name for our post-session debrief. It’s just an informal meeting but I am still nervous!
