- Y’ALL, I left at 10 pm last night! Definitely the latest we’ve had to stay but to be fair, I think the members were trying to get through as much as they could so today could be early. But we won’t know yet. As noted, they can vote on the budget a little before noon. Fingers crossed!
- Isaac was supposed to get back from DC around 9 this morning but they ended up earlier and so I snagged him from the school by 7:45 and took him back home. The menfolk can hang out today! I was happy to see him and not be to work so early, though as I got closer, there was a bad 3 car wreck so it took FOREVER to get into my parking garage… that only has one entrance. Sigh. A good indication to roll with the punches, I guess.
- On that note, I have one of those page-a-day calendars and today’s says: “ONE THOUGHT: Life is so unfair. ANOTHER THOUGHT: Things don’t always go as planned but I have faith that they will work out in the end.” Boy is that ever relevant to my life now!
- I’m grading papers and waiting for Session to kick off and subsequently end. I need to go to the grocery store and clean my house and take a boston butt out to a friend to cook for us for tomorrow and tonight we are going to the brewery where we made our beer; whew!! I am definitely ready for a beer or four.
- Dear reader, I’ll let you know right now: I will not be blogging again until Wednesday. I’m taking Monday and Tuesday off so I can recoup some semblance of my life!
