Friday Five – TGIF FOR REAL

  1. It wasn’t a “bad” week, just long and exhausting, flying solo. Ash comes home later tonight, so the solo gig is still on, but at least we can mostly get back to normal. Isaac has a hair appointment later and then I promised him new shoes as soon as XC ended, which it did last night. My mom went with us to the meet, which his team… won! Two years in a row #1 cross country middle school boys. So proud of them. We went out to eat after and it was a nice time. But now, we can retire his smelly, holey shoes and move onto soccer tryouts, which are Monday!
  2. I decided to leave at 2 today so I can go home and just catch up. Yeah, I know: “That’s what weekends are for.” Not mine! Mine always consist of too many other things like errands and sports, and probably fun stuff. At least, I hope. I know tomorrow, Isaac has an 11 am game and I plan to make a lasagna tonight for tomorrow afternoon, then Ash has to do his fantasy football wrap-up show with his friend. We’ll go from there but I am hoping Sunday is just eating tacos and watching football. Of course, there will be running too.
  3. I just put myself on the calendar out at 1:15 instead; I had .75 left of comp time and could never find a time to take that so, there ya go. I am SO looking forward to getting in my house and just catching up. I know it sounds nutty but by the time I get home between 4-5, go to the store, feed kids, cart them to activities, etc, I am too exhausted to be doing anything else! This way, I can maybe even get stuff done before my oldest gets home.
  4. Sigh; it is always something, isn’t it? My daughter called from the school clinic, saying her face felt like it was burning. Just in one area. She told me this morning but I didn’t see anything and she didn’t say it was that bad. The only thing we could think of was this new face wash my sister sent her, but I know her and she’d only send good stuff. So who knows? Or maybe some kind of allergy but what the heck can I do about it?
  5. Well, that little hurdle has made me feel out of sorts even more than I was so with that, this concludes your weekly recap of domestic nothingness. Hope you all have a great weekend!
