- Ah, Friday again. I don’t know how it goes so quickly, but time is passing by at a phenomenal rate. At least I feel like I am doing some things to feel ahead; I did sprints yesterday and then Ash and I walked about 3 miles once it got a bit cooler. It was still humid but not super hot. We took a rather hilly route too so it was a workout.
- I may have mentioned the practice bill that we three basic editors were given this week. It really threw me for a loop and I cannot believe I didn’t find more wrong with it because that makes me think I don’t know what the heck I’m doing. This morning, I am going line by line again and looking for any errors I missed yesterday. It’s just practice, I know, but ugh. I appreciate the training though and look forward to seeing the “answer key” so I can study.
- The roofers “finished” yesterday but not quite. This company scheduled and rescheduled a few times with us – my number one complaint is their poor communication- but they specifically told us they’d get a crew out who could do both shingles and metal, since one section of ours was getting metal, but the main guy said his boss didn’t tell them to do that section. Sigh. So the materials are STILL in my driveway and they aren’t coming out until Tuesday for that. They claim to be coming for their trailer full of trash today but we’ll see! Until it moves we can’t even park in the garage.
- I was worried about getting to work a little late today – about 10 mins – but I was actually the first person; had to open the doors! Not a lot of folks in today at all but that’s a Friday in Summer during the Interim for you. Oh, and the Keurig wasn’t working either. it seemed like it was and it said “brewing” but it sat there doing nothing. I unplugged it to reset but still, nothing. So I walked away. I don’t know!
- Don’t know what our plans for food today are or, well, anything else. I have a feeling once I finish this draft and then get all my grading done, I’m gonna want to high-tail it out of here!
Short weeks always throw us off, even though we’re retired and it doesn’t matter. And yes, it feels like time is supercharged.
