As of tomorrow (Tuesday) I’ll be back in the office. As previously mentioned, the week will be slightly different since we’re going to Orlando for the race weekend. But I will still make time for Random Tuesday!
- I know Cracker Barrel seems like sort of a cliched place to eat and whatnot but I like their chicken and dumplings. We rarely go anymore but the last time (maybe a month ago) Ash’s order was messed up and the biscuits took forever. We went last night and they were out of chicken and dumplings (the only thing I ever order) and then the chicken I did order was cold. It was a crappy experience.
- I just spent about 45 minutes looking up stuff on that Hammacher-Schlemmer site; you know, the people who sell stuff in Skymall.
- My laptop just told me I have 18 minutes left so I am leaving this for now and will continue in the morning.
- Ok, back to the grind; back in my office and eating a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit that I made and coffee. Listening to my Counting Crows Pandora station.
- So I was a little miffed this morning when I found out that my daycare was open yesterday. poor communication on their part! They claim to be closed all the same days public schools are!
- I just realized no one gave me a desk calendar this year. I like to have some kind of 365 day one on my work desk. Sigh.
- As soon as I finish blogging, I have to go upstairs and get paper and turn some things in and wow, it just feels good to be back to work! I am such a dork, I know.
- I have decided that even though I am only running a half-marathon, I am totally carb-loading this week. Bagels FTW!
- Btw, I think “for the win” has outlived its coolness factor. And yet, I apparently still say it.
- Getting another year under my belt just reminds me of all the things I used to do. And what are kids doing these days? I don’t even know!
- I am rambling. This entry sucks. I’ll leave you with Xander Evitts because my brain doesn’t work today but my eyes sure do.

There is no convenient Cracker Barrel for us to go to. With small boys we just don’t go out much, they don’t really sit still well. Well Turbo is fine, but Bruiser is at that age where sitting in a restaurant is not happening.
We are back at the grind too. Not exactly thrilled, but not exactly upset either. I think our break was just long enough.
I don’t think we have Cracker Barrel restaurants up here – never heard of it!
I’m not overly happy to be back to work today – I wanted another week of Christmas. *sigh*
I went back to work yesterday. While I might have wanted one more day I’m not sure having it would have made going back to work any better. I hope someone gives you a calendar soon. Happy New Year!
