Random Tuesday – Bands of Rain edition

Stacy

Yay for Tuesdays! I don’t like when they’re the first day of the workweek though, because they just feel like Mondays. But at least we have Random Tuesday to make things better.

  • All weekend we got the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee pass over us. It would pour rain violently for ten minutes, then clear up, then get super muggy then dark and rain again. What a wonderful weekend!
  • Ok, that’s not ENTIRELY true. Saturday morning was cool and sunny and I ran seven miles in no time. And I felt so ridiculously happy about it. And then I had a big fat cheeseburger and a beer.
  • My friend had to move her previously scheduled playground birthday party to one of those indoor bounce house places, which we both hate. She was none too happy but the boys had fun.
  • Ash and I watched Revolver; it was… interesting? I think I prefer Jason Statham without hair.
  • Last night, Nickelodeon was playing a Friends marathon and when Ash came in to see what I was watching, we decided to just start watching episodes from the beginning. So you know what we’ll be doing with our free evenings for a while.;)
  • It cost me 25 bucks just to have Elliot’s stitches pulled out. I so should have called one of my nurse friends. Meanwhile, I am filing a claim to my insurance to have that reimbursed. That’s ridiculous.
  • Oh Fall weather, how you tease. It’s cool this morning, in the storm’s aftermath, and I just wish it would stay like this for a while.
  • The cool weather reminds me how much I love drinking tea. It’s getting to be about time to get my tea on.
  • Ok, that’s what I have because I am inundated with fretful student emails. Enjoy your Tuesday folks!

I am taking a brief break from Man Candy to give you some car porn. I love the Dodge Challenger. It’s sleek and sexy and full of power. Grawr.

  1. We had the same exact weather pattern this weekend that you did – just when I thought the humidity would be gone for good, it came back. Until today (so far)…here’s hoping we actually keep some of this cooler weather for a while!

I love that you followed your 7-mile run with a cheeseburger and a beer – sounds like something I would do! If I ran, that is. 😉

At least the boys had fun in the bounce house place – I’m not a fan of those places, either. I’d never get Princess Nagger to leave willingly! 😉

There is no show comparable to Friends, is there? Sounds like some good evening time coming your way! 🙂

$25 to have stitches removed? They charged you separate for that? That’s crazy!! You’d think it would be part of the whole ‘follow up’ mode of the original appointment – I’d totally file a claim with the insurance, too.

Thanks for rockin’ the random rebellion with me in spite of my suky hostessing! 🙂

  2. I wouldn’t follow a seven mile run with a burger and a beer for the simple fact I would not be able to move if I ran seven miles. Good for you!
    The car IS sexy!

  3. I have drank more tea this past weekend than I have since Spring…I love that tea goes hand-in-hand with the cooler weather!

And yes…that car is damned sexy.

  4. I’m all for fall weather! Good idea on the Friends marathon. We are doing the same thing with The Office. It’s just a good excuse to do nothing! 😉 I cant believe they charged you to take the stitches out. It should be included in the price to put them in! You probably could have taken them out yoursel.

  5. Personally I prefer Jason Statham without clothes but he doesn’t seem to be doing much of those. ROFL. Just watched In The Name Of The King with Jason Statham the other day. Definitely different..
