Though WordPress seems bent on messing with my previous post, this one seems alright. I’m about to begin  my 3.5 day weekend but I wanted a placeholder for the holiday. I always loved July 4th when I was little. Most of the time we went to Palm Beach to visit my grandparents. They lived right near a country club/golf course that did an amazing fireworks show. We climbed up onto the flat part of the roof above their screened porch and watched the show in lawn chairs.

As I got older, I accrued and shot off as many hardcore fireworks as possible. Over the years it has become less important to me but I still get excited about the feel of mid-summer, cold drinks, fireflies, and fireworks. Oh, and grilling out. Good times.
