Random Tuesday – No rhyme or reason

randomtuesday

For realz, y’all, this is just me spewing stuff I have thought about the last couple days. I even wrote it down on a sticky note and brought it to work with me. How awesome am I? (Your cue to shout “totally awesome!”)

  • I saw two black cars and a hearse pulled off onto the side of the road on Saturday and realized that I haven’t had to stop for a funeral procession – or a train for that matter – in a really long time. I’m sort of impatient so this is a good thing.
  • I bought a small bottle of egg nog and have been taking sips here and there. Except then I read the label and a serving is half a cup, which I easily have ingested every time, and that’s 8 grams of fat. OMG, I am single-handedly defeating all my running!
  • Our department holiday party was Saturday night and I am pretty glad I decided to go. I am also glad I didn’t leave early. Towards the end, when the TAs had had a lot to drink, they got all mushy on me. They were all, “You’re so nice. you always help me with stuff”… slur slur, hey, how’s it going style. I found it highly amusing.
  • With any luck, tomorrow we’ll be brand new Honda Pilot owners. Whoo! I am SICK of carpooling.
  • My dad told me he wants to buy my mother an iPad for Christmas. This is a Very Bad Idea. My mother can use a computer just fine and she wants a Netbook but I have this weird feeling she’ll forsake her iPad in about a week. I gave her my old Nano and she has yet to use it. She tends to move from one thing to the next very quickly. My only hope is that if it overwhelms her and she doesn’t want it, I can take it off her hands. πŸ˜‰

And here’s your Man Candy. Evan Wadle is cute, rough, and devastating all at once. Rawr.

  1. Shwooo had move past that pick pretty fast, kiddos might see.

We don’t do egg nog here, lactose intolerant. But my brother can drink it by the gallon!

    Thanks for stopping by. πŸ™‚

  2. We like the Christmas milk in our house–Egg Nog. It’s usually too thick to drink for me–but we got a light version and it tastes good and is a bit thinner than the normal stuff. I usually mix milk with the normal stuff for the kids and I like it in coffee.
Yummy man candy–I want a piece of that! In a totally not weird way.

  3. Thanks for the info on the iPod Touch. I am really leaning that way. I got to make a list and check it twice or I’m going to end up broke. We finally talked my mother into no more dial-up! A laptop with a docking station, screen and keyboard. My brother is psyched. Good thing I wasn’t at work when I read this. Whoo! some eye candy.

  4. I’ve never tried the nog. Much like not believing in having cream cheese as a dessert (cheesecake), I have issues with liquor and egg. I don’t know what’s in it, but it sounds gross. The man candy on the other hand is DELICIOUS!
