Random Tuesday – NaBloPoMo Day 9 edition

randomtuesday

To be perfectly honest, Tuesday has become my favorite blog day. Maybe because bullets rock or because I can count on it. Or because Tuesday is the shittiest day of the week and by god, I need a bright spot. Yeah, that’s probably it.

  • What’s that you say? Terrible Twos? Hey, I have news for you. Not every kid has that issue. No, mine is the Terrible Threes and he’s lucky I haven’t packing taped his ass in a gigantic box and calculated shipping to Borneo.
  • That’s not to say he’s always a terror; this morning when I dropped him off at school he was all lovable and even gave me an unsolicited “I love you.”
  • I have been rediscovering some of the music I listened to in my twenties, some of the punk bands Ash and I liked together when we were first hooking up. Check out The Ataris and Lagwagon.
  • You know what else sucks about my debit card being shredded last week? Now that I have my new one, I have to go to all my online purchasing and bill-paying places and update. It was also a pain in the ass to buy stuff during the in-between time. We rely entirely too much on saved forms and one-click buying.
  • I went to buy some tubing for my breast pump yesterday and noticed that the store is going out of business. Just as well; I have a feeling I’m almost done here anyway. I am a little tired of carrying around this big ass pump to yield about 2-3 ounces. So not worth it. We made it to 7 months; can’t ask for much more.
  • I tend to think that Florida and Cali are on par in terms of weather most of the time. I guarantee that it’s nice and warm in Cali today and here? It’s in the 30s. Brrrr.
  • I’m thinking about getting the surgery for carpal tunnel. I first got it when I was pregnant with Elliot and the docs all said it would go away. Yeah, no. It took away one of the only things I ever truly enjoyed: writing. Sure, I could type but I like the actual act of putting pen to paper. And I can barely write a sentence without severe pain. But I don’t like the idea of surgery either.
  • I’m sick of the same foods we always eat. My husband is a picky eater. If it’s not noodles or beef, we probably aren’t eating it. Any suggestions for comfort-type foods for winter that are very basic?

That’s what I got for ya this week. Exit out with your weekly Man Candy, Tyson Paige. This guy is totally hot in a could be your boyfriend sort of way.

  1. I totally forgot my comment when I laid eyes on that man candy… 😉

Oh, yeah, I remember one thing – I had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands a couple of years ago…best thing I ever did. I’d definitely consider it if I were you. Much easier than giving birth. 😉

I had the same thing you did – no Terrible Two’s, but definitely Terrible Three’s, Terrible Two times Two, Terrible Two Times Three…PN turns 8 next week, I imagine it will be Terrible Twos times Four. 😉 You’re not alone. 🙂

  2. My boys never had the terrible twos either – it was 3’s and then 9’s and then 15’s. But we somehow survived and it’s all good now. Good luck!

Love rediscovering music that was always good, but that I forgot about!
    Have a great Tuesday!

  3. I’ve got a really good chili recipe I can let you have. I also just tried a pretty good beef stroganoff recipe that was liked by all.

  4. I have to say I’m not looking forward to the terrible two’s. Hubby and I have a way out of that one it’s called Grandma’s. LMAO!

Recipes for comfort food. Gotcha. I’ll try to send/post some this weekend.

Eye Candy is always a good thing.

  5. Oh man… Man Candy… Now I’m seriously drooling. He’s BEAUTIFUL. Yum.

I’ve heard that… A lot of my friends are saying the same things about three being so awful. My friend Bree thinks a demon has replaced her 3 year old…

Visiting from RTT, stop by my post if you get a chance. 🙂
