HOPE

The sun has dawned on a new day in America; a day full of hope and renewed faith in a grand new tomorrow. For once, I actually acknowledge pride in msyelf. I am proud to be an American. Not to say I am not grateful for my numerous freedoms that I have always had as an American but today, we have made a great stride to change ourselves, fix our existing problems.

I woke multiple times in the night, anxious, and I surprised myself. I care, of course. But I didn’t know I was that nervous and excited to find out who won the election. I fell asleep around 10:30 while watching Final Fantasy and I didn’t even look at numbers beforehand. The last I looked around 9, Obama was up something like 174 to 69. So I was feeling pretty good about it anyway.

I feel like a lot of people are walking a little taller today. Good for us, America. We CAN make a change. All you have to do is be a part of it.
